Casually mentions his Dad, who is internationally famous Chris Hadfield, aka The Astronaut with the mustache who you saw in Space an absolute ton. wtf
That was the best part of the whole story!!
yeah wtf its so random
Didn't recognize him at first, but when it appeared that he was a former astronaut I rewinded the video a bit and yeah, legendary Chris Hadfield, man who played Space Oddity in space.
Father: goes to space.
Son: feeds a raccoon.
not to mention Chris knows how to McGuyver stuff even at 100 KM above the Earth surface, so the Raccoon house must have been child's play.
Moral of the story:
When Life gives you a Larry, you give the Larry a good life.
Loved that! Underrated comment...

Racoons are absolutely adorable. I have been feeding a Mama and her 3 babies for quite some time. I live next to a creek where there are many trees and bushes and the Racoons live there, so they come to my door just about every evening for food. They are actually quite respectful and patient. Now the babies, against Mom's wishes come to my home on their own, then all of a sudden the Mom shows up and makes a sound to them, but they ignore her, its hilarious how defiant they are.
That's the coolest thing about humans: we can become attached to the strangest of things and put so much effort into maintaining a relationship. It's fascinating.
You could say the same thing about Larry tho. And Little Larry. And all the other Larry's out there. Animals form attachments & emotional bonds across species just like humans do.
