    The speedrunner uses a special trick to change the job of the first character. You can see it as he moves through the Water Cave; the job changes constantly after every battle. By the end, at 18:06, the main job is a glitched one that you can't normally choose, so the overworld character also looks glitched. Jobs have an ID number. Ninja is job #55, and the job he ends up getting is #183 which is supposed to be impossible/nonexistent. He could also have looked like a walking glitch.

    This glitch is nice because it allows the middle aged guys to save the world, like they originally wanted to. Granted it's only one of them, he's dark green, and he looks terrible close up...

    the original FFII, FFIII and FFV (by Japanese count) were never released in the US. I believe FFII was set to be released in the US only a few months before FFIV, which would've been silly, so they decided never to release it and rename FFIV to FFII in the US. leading to people still being confused about the whole ordeal more than two decades later.

    1. TAS assisted = Tool Assisted Speedrun assisted
    2. TAS allows you to use save states, slow game down and do everything frame by frame which allows you to do everything as fast as possible and correct every mistake you will make. All random battles cannot be avoided since they're programmed to appear when you take random number of steps. TAS doesn't have ability to change programmin of the game so you'll have to go through the battles as fast as possible.

    Ultimately, though, all the FF games did eventually make it over to the US in the proper numbering:
    FF2 (originally Japan only) ended up coming here on the PS1 as part of the FF Origins collection, containing FF1 & 2. Now both are widely available.
    FF3 (originally Japan only) came here on the DS.
    FF4 (originally FF2 here) came out here on the PS1, then made widely available after that.
    FF5 (Japan only) & 6 (originally FF3 here) came out here as part of the FF Anthology collection on the PS1.

    このゲームは本当にバグが多すぎる

    In the remake of the game for the DS, they decided to give the characters names, and expanded the plot a little by giving them a little bit of a backstory. They also gave the game a bit of a graphical makeover by rendering everything on the 3D plane. Other than that, the game is mostly the same.

    Yeah, I have to agree that I didn't care for this. Glitching out the game completely is not the same as beating the game. To call this a complete TAS is like saying you beat a game by ripping it out of your system and crushing it. Lame.

    • @AT-ek8br
      @AT-ek8br Před 3 lety

      I don't think you get the point of a TAS Bot run. Its to show how fast you could theoretically beat a game without the restrictions of human error. If the glitches save time, it only makes sense to use them.
