I believe the title should be Canadian Border. I was expecting a story about a Canadian person staying at Ken's house!! Great story - I love hearing about and from David Ring. Such a humorous and gracious man :)
A boarder is only a person who takes their meals on a regular basis at an establishment that provides board, or meals. Hence, a boarder. If he or she also rents a room, then they are paying for ROOM and BOARD. If they only rent a room, they are ROOMERS (?) but not BOARDERS.
The title is wrong! This is not about a Canadian BOARDER: a Canadian that has contracted with a provider for meals. This is about crossing the BORDER between The USA and Canada.
