  • Just a quick video on my solar powered Wi-Fi link, comprising of a Ubiquiti Powerbeam, LiteBeam 120 sector, Edgepoint router in switch mode running poe devices, two buck converters for 24v and 5v outputs for the Edgepoint and RaspberryPi 2 running Victron VRM free software, the battery is a diy 90ah lifepo4 in a 8S configuration with a Daly BMS, solar panels are a pair of 180w panels in series, looking at upgrading to something like 250w to 350w panel for bleak winters.
The link below is the power consumption using the Victron MPPT controller data in real time and history if you want to see the solar data

Hi there.. I have some questions about this setup..
1.. Whats the total watts & Amps at Output
2.. How much backup in hours or Days it provides with full battery charge.

It ran on 22 watts @ 24v, you need to design for the worst week of solar power. This battery bank was rated at 90ah lifepo4 and 500 watts of solar

Hi, Are you still using this, or did you migrate over to Starlink.
I had a similar setup to get an NBN FTTN connection extended by 15 km over two hops. Luckily I could get power at the mid-point

18 to 22 ms, I pay for the Internet from where it comes from

@@sjdtmv Oh wow! I have higher latency on a buried copper cable! Awesome setup, thinking of doing something simmiliar to put a video doorbell at the other end of the ranch :)
