  • This has to be one of my favorite tangs. The orange fins are so pretty and orange is such a hard color to find for reef safe fish. This dude will mow down your hair algae and will always be out to show off for guests that come to see the tank. Would definitely recommend.

    I have a tomini tang in my QT. I let film and hair algae grow all over before I put him in, it because i heard these guys eat it. Within a week, the tank was spotless.

    I just got a tomini a week ago he pretty much stays inside a big hole in one of the LR or goes in the cave of a different rock, have seen him peck at the rocks but as of lately he just stays in the hole in the one rock or stays in the cave, does not explore the tank really at all and I put seaweed on a clip never see him eating it but the seaweed will be gone by the next day he is the only tang I have in a 75g no aggression in the tank at all and no spots or any thing on him looks healthy

    I just got a tomini about a week ago and he just stays in a hole in one of the rocks or hides in a cave shaped LR does not move around the tank much and once in awhile I’ll see him peck at the rocks not much tho, and I put seaweed on a clip never see him eat it but the seaweed will be gone by the next day

      Don’t leave seaweed in the tank overnight it can destroy ur water quality, they eventually open up you just need solid interaction and they need to feel safe around you

      Spoon Fighter The twitching scares me. Have you seen any spots pop up on it? Anyone being aggressive toward it?

    • @TomsMotoTV
      @TomsMotoTV Před 4 lety +1

      Brock Leonard no spots in fact nothing at all and he’s the biggest fish in my tang so no aggression towards him this morning I got a more thorough look he’s 100%spotless and grazing he’s twitching his top fin similar to the one in the video is this common tang behavior or something I will need to quarantine p.s thanks for getting back so fast🙌🏻

    Can I keep a small tomini or cole tang in my 48x17x15“ ( 120x45x40cm ) for 1-2 years?
    Maybe in 2-3 years I will upgrade to 55x17x14“ ( 140x45x35cm) shallow reef .
    Thanks a bunch ;)

    Can I have a tomini tang with a yellow eye kole tang in a 65 gallons aquarium?

    • @BrockLeonard
      @BrockLeonard  Před 3 lety +2

      I would advise against it as they have such similar body shapes, it’s very likely they will fight.

    These won't do well in a 3ft. tank? 65 Gallon 3ft. Which Tang would you recommend for a tank that size?

    • @BrockLeonard
      @BrockLeonard  Před 5 lety +3

      Kashandra Hall If you got one small enough, I think he would be fine. You can sometimes get really small yellow tangs too. But like all tangs, they get big😂

      From what I've read, ich already lives in the water and if the fish is sick, it'll root on the fish.

    Can the tomini tang be kept with a yellow tang in a 75 gallon reef tank?

    • @BrockLeonard
      @BrockLeonard  Před 4 lety +3

      In a 75 will probably be too small. I'd recommend picking one or the other. They'll be very Territorial.
