    I have a tiny Tomini Tang in my 35 he loves my tank. Perfect coloration, belly is always full and gets along with 2 Perculas, a dottyback, a watchman goby and an azure damsel. Knowing that the Tang police will be busting through my door is the hardest part of keeping him. If he gets to big and appears to suffer I will certainly re home him.

    Just got mine today.
    He loves the rock and, after 10 minutes, starts feeding on the rocks. He will have a field day with this green hair and the seaweed.

    Northeast Georgia and I have a white tail kole tang named Doreen. She’s so cute! When she knows I’m about to feed, she starts pretending to graze on nonexistent food like an ASPCA fishy. She wants me to feel sorry for her so she gets more, lol 😂

    My favorite tang only one I can get in my 65 gallon cube tank. My tang is big and still seems comfortable and no aggression. I have less rock though lots of holes for it to swim threw. I feed it sea weed all the time, crazy though all my fish eat it. Ive had him for five years now same tank. Tennessee reefer

      Tomini tangs are beautiful and always swimming around the tank! Ours has quite the personality, he started out shy and always hiding but now he's always out and about. All of our fish seem to love the seaweed as well, we tend to feed that as a treat since our tangs tear up the pellet food too! Was yous the same way?

    I have 150 gallon tank with 2 clowns, 2 benji chardinals, pistol shrimp and his yellow watchman buddy, 2 cleaner shrimp, which get along great. I am getting a purple tang in two weeks and would like your advice about adding two tangs at the same time at night. Question: What tang would do well with the purple tang.

    • @PittsburghReefJunkie
      @PittsburghReefJunkie  Před 3 lety

      That's a great question Phillip. I'd say tangs of same shape as the purple like a yellow tang, gem tang, ect should be added together in odd numbers. Why I don't know. Have just been told odd numbers is the way to go for years. But most of your bristletooth tangs, regal tangs, ect should be fine. Personally purple's have the reputation for being very nasty and should be added last. I added mine with the mimic tang together and they were like best buds from day one. Night time is good to add them, but I don't like to do that because the new fish do not know the rock structure and could possibly hurt themselves on rockwork, ect. I like to add in the evening about an hour before lights out so they can find a hiding place being they will be timid and scared. It's after the purple gets used to the tank and claims territory that future tangs could be the issue when added. Hope this helps.

    Nice one. How many Tangs do you have now and which is the most aggressive? Thanks

    • @PittsburghReefJunkie
      @PittsburghReefJunkie  Před 3 lety

      Right now I have 4 total. And to be honest it's the Mimic tang that has been the trouble maker. Nothing too bad though. The last tang I have is the hippo. Not sure if I want to highlight him next week or do a video on my rock scape.
