Despite as much as they are co$t, I would definitely still buy one IF you made a slightly shorter version, which could fit in a small, under seat bag, like the larger Castelli one, or your Mattone Grande (I refuse to carry one in a jersey pocket, or on the outside of the bag, or bolted to the down tube bottle cage mounts). YES, I realize that the efficiency goes down, and the number of pumps to get that 90 PSI into the tube goes way way up the shorter the barrel/piston, but this current model will only fit inside a VERY 'cyclotourista-ish' size/style seat bag. ☹
My Pocket Impero arrived today. Looks good, feels great. Next test, to see if it really can get to 89psi in 200 pumps? Got to 65psi on all 3 tests. I bought it because of the advertised 200 pumps for 89psi, not impressed for the cost.
that beats my lyzeme pump by far For kicks used the lyzeme to inflate a newly mounted continental 25 mm tire. after 400 pumps didn't inflate more than 30 psi which sucks. the day before i flatted and limped home at 12-13 mph hoping not to f up my campy bora rear wheel and i weigh 165 lbs
You would have to insure that what you are filling is exactly the same volume ( and under the same conditions, eg temperature ) as what Silca used for their results, before concluding the Impero missed the mark.
I really don’t have idea about Presta and Schrader valves. I thought it’s like other pumps which can be used to both type of valves. I already contacted the supplier and they wish to return it and replace which will work to my bicycle but I refused because I don’t have time to return it. I’ll buy new one again for my bike. Thanks for your reply. 😉
The current incarnation of Silca, represented by Josh, certainly is American, but the Silca company that was founded by Felice in Milan in 1917 is about as Italian as it gets. The new owner pledged to maintain the historic quality of Silca products while innovating products that would appeal to the needs and tastes of a modern cycling enthusiast. Accordingly, it isn't remarkable that the current managers reflect the historic origins of the company as they update some products (like inflation pumps) as well as creating products that Felice never dreamed of.
Full Metal Pocket!
Impero love you long time 😉
Just got mine a few days ago. Very cool! Can't wait to use it.

Is it compatible with schrader valve? I got mine but I think I have to throw it since I can’t use it on my bicycle.
Joseph, the pump is not compatible with Schrader valves, it will only work with Presta valves.

I ran over it with my car, its been 7 months, oh well I am outside the warranty.
Why are these guys trying so hard to be Italian, when they couldn't be more American?
