My Twingo over the last 2 & 1/2 years has been fantastic, the only problem I've had has been a blockage in the rear screen washer. Mobile phone holder is standard.
Similar but random and more widespread electrical issues. For example, my stereo stopped working with only 15 miles on the clock. A software update broke the unit entirely then a new head unit was ordered and then that has stopped as well and Renault say it's a known issue but can't fix it. That's unacceptable on a new car. It's so disappointing that a car that has so much potential due to its innovative design can be so poorly executed. The dealer has dealt with any problems I've had with complete indifference and a Gallic shrug (not to mention body damage during a 'joy' ride!) Any remedial warranty work has not been fixed and in fact the car was returned in worse condition and with more faults than it started with. I know I'm not alone in the things I'm finding as there's growing dissatisfaction amongst other Twingo owners. Rant over!!! Great review though-only just discovered your channel so will watch your other reviews shortly.
Sadly the 'better' cars you recommend (up and 108) have worse engine sound. I prefer the 4 cylinder 'calm car' sound, hate Twin Air grumpy sound. Both the cars you recommend have a worse sound then this Twingo. This one has the least '3cilinder' sound of the 3. When lowering speed it also makes a nice sound wich the other two can't match. One reason i'm into this car it has 5 doors while cars like this never do (like fiat 500).
This is what i wanted to see.Thanks.
+daichan n Thanks :)
The R & O buttons on the steering buttons are to do with the cruise control, reset & cancel

Maybe the one i had being a courtesy car had a hard life.
Great review and as a new Twingo owner your findings are very similar to mine!
Ohhh sorry to hear that, are you having the same electrical issues?
