I like how he starts out sounding like Ali-G and ends up sounding Greek
Excellent video. Very concise yet informative. You hit on exactly what I was looking for, Thank you!!
Huge thanks Kevin!
that book looks amazing, cant wait to buy it! i print my travel photos into books now (snapshots more than photography), it's just a more fun way to share photos i think.
100%. Huge thanks 🙏🏼
Good stuff dude 💯
Big thanks bro
Another great video!
Huge thanks!
Nice video Eren, congrats on publishing your book #Londonlovesyou
Huge huge thanks!
Really like your photos. Your book is on my Wish List! Found you via VISUAL CULT. Its all about the eye, not about the tech. I'm new to Fuji but really loving it after years of other systems. They really are designed for photography and remind me of my 35mm analog days. Your settings were very much like mine. Too much fiddling kills the joy. Thanks for posting. You have inspired me to try colour!
Huge thanks Laurie! really appreciate that 🙏🏼
Top Video. Clear and concise view to your fuji settings for 'street photography'
Thank you!
Very useful settings video. Thanks.
Huge thanks!
Great video, very handy I have just made the jump from an xpro 1 to 2, no comparison and no brainer primarily needed weather sealing, but better af and 2 slots is a bonus. Thanks again and good luck with channel.
Huge thanks bro 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I really enjoy your videos.
huge thanks Lars!
Your images are incredible btw
Thank you!
Nice informative video. So I can modify my settings with yours. Hope to see a new POV Street Photography video. Stay healthy 🙋🏻♂️✌🏼
Huge thanks bro! Just waiting for that lockdown to end so I can get back out there :D
@@erenjam hate lock downs and hate corona virus. Ilegal way to put people to their own prison. Hope it will end soon ✌🏼🙋🏻♂️
Congrats on the book!! Look forward to getting my hands on it. Love the video. The sound has got a lot better!! Keep it up 💪
Huge thanks 🙏🏼
Good advice.Subscribed.
Huge thanks Mark
great content, create a vid around settings for fashion photography / videography bruvvvv
Thank yoU!
My Xpro2 has. arrived today, paired with a 35mm 1.4 lense - I don't know how to use it! Your video has been really helpful - legend.
thank you! what a great set up
Nice
What we should do if we only have a manual lense? What is the way to make it work like the old school? Thanks and subscribed
Much appreciated Pablo 🙏🏼 switch to manual mode (the m on the front of the camera) and it should pretty much work like an old analog camera.
This is really helpful. Thank you. You didn't mention noise reduction settings. I am torn between -2 & -4... what do you recommend?
Thanks bro! I've never used the NR reduction in-camera, TBH I hardly use noise reduction in post either.
might be a few years to late but I personally use -2 most of the time beacause the oicture (jpeg) doesnt look to artifical and more film like (most of the times) . this only has to concern you if you use very high iso thou so dont sweat it and just look at what suits you best and take a few test pictures with different settings.
Absolutely inspirational photos from the few sample pages I saw in your book, hope I could visit Japan one day. On the 'Across Japan' page very last paragraph I believe there is a spelling error? 'I will take you though', I believe you meant 'I will take you through'? English is not my first language so I could be wrong.
Huge thanks! Completely right! I'll get it corrected :D
Could you explain a bit how you manage to when to us EC comparing to use ISO ? THank you. I love your videos!
ITs a very quick way of overwriting your camera settings to get the correct exposure, or for how I shoot, quickest way to slightly underexpose the image.
@@erenjam what method do you underexposure your photo? Today i tested that :
When use highlights alerts, if there is alert, I turn down the Exposure Compensation to prevent this from happening before taking the shot. But it would result in underexpose the photo.
And the issue is below:
As you know boosting shadows can introduce noise in lower light situations.
What is the best way to do in this situation?
Last week I trad my x-t2 for the x-pro 2, I've been in Naples for a few days of street photography but I've sadly noticed a lot more out focus pictures than before. With the x-t2 I used zone + Af-c and it was really effective. Is it worth to try Af-c even of you say it's bad? Cause Af-s was not working that good. Didn't know that Af was that worst. Any advice would be very appreciated, thank you!
have you updated to the latest X-Pro2 firmware, there was an update that made the focusing significantly better. That said, for most my photos on the X-Pro2 I do use AF-S.
I find the AF-C on the XT models to be better.
@@erenjam I took a second hand camera, must check it out, yesterday I setup the camera with Af-s with single point (same configuration of x100t) and it's was way better and precise. Thanks!
@@erenjam it's version 5.10 the last one, keep it up 👍🏻
Durable take on theme that’s “very” popular lately, Eren. You trolling your bud Roman Fox? Plot to rule genre in UK? Something in the London water? Something more sinister😱😁? Kidding aside, good rationale for your choices. Detailed auto ISO custom values, a plus. Good tip on using manual focus for reflection pics. (You must have super peripheral vision, the way you grabbed your cam.)
Exposure compensation dial can be a bit stiff, IMO, especially compared with a command dial - ever try putting EC on C and using a command dial, instead?
“Spot on”😁 advice about focus aid beam. I once shot a billiards tournament in low light setting and laser like beam annoyed participants (tough crowd). They asked me to turn it off - seeing how their tatoos were far more elaborate than mine, I complied. True story, no kidding.
Good luck w/your 1st book. Step by step guide to how you went about the project would make a unique and valuable YT series, IMO.
Stellar thumbnail, BTW; serious ‘tog, our man in Japan. Cheers!
😂 I like to think of it as great minds thinking alike. Haha, yeah gotta watch out for the AF light giving away the game and a dedicated video on the book is in the works 🙌🏼
🙌🏼👍🏼

A very good guide to using Fuji for street. I bought an XT-30 but to be honest I use it like a point and shoot for street. I am so used to Canon which I use more often that it takes me too long to change settings when using the Fuji.
Thank you! I almost always shoot in aperture priority mode for street, so semi-auto.
if i want to have both jpeg and raw when i shoot i need to have 2 memory cards ?
No, you can shoot both JPEG and RAW onto the same card. You can also set the camera up to save JPEG to one card and RAW to the other if needed
@@erenjam thanks a lot :)
currently only struggling with the fuji ap as i cant transfer my photos . what do you use for that ?
The mobile app?
@@erenjam yes. For me it was impossible to transfer the photos from the camera so I got a cheap sd card reader and works perfect :)
A lot of people have problems with the Fuji App.
@@danielsantiago3788 Yeah have similar issues. The transfer does not work with the XT3 for me. I'm only able to transfer from my X-Pro2
Do you ever use Zone focus?
Not a huge fan of manual focusing with Fujifilm Lenses so usually stick with AF for street. I do want to experiment more with a dedicated manual lens though
@@erenjam I bought a Lensbaby Velvet 56 (not for street lol) it also so works as a macro but it nearly drove me insane. Eventually got to grips with it lol.
we should have just shared the same B Roll 😂👊
😂😂
Auto Subs after watching this
Huge thanks 🙏🏼🙌🏼
What's the big push on using Fujifilm cameras for street photography? Seems like every other reviewer is using this brand. Are these videos being sponsored by Fuji? Just asking -- it seems so curious
No none of my videos on here are sponsored. I think its because the Fujifilm system is more affordable. They have gotten real popular among street photographers over the past 3-4 years.
@@erenjam Thanks for your response.
Buy a $1500 camera just to shoot on auto 😂
Like buying a $50k car to drive in automatic :)
@@erenjam hahaaa, very fair point. Dont get me wrong though, I Love your photography!
@@mominashraf2657 Much appreciated bro! It is worth learn to shoot manual, I switch to manual for street as speed is so important. But there's no right or wrong way to go about, 👊🏼🙏🏼
