Wow thank you sooo much †this is one of the best travel guide videos I have ever seen. Compact, accurate, specific useful detail, and most importantly honest personal opinion đđđđ please continue making such videos
Aw thank you so much, you have no idea what this comment means to me! Iâm so glad you found it helpful :)
Brussels is great! Def check out the puppet show. Thereâs also a ton of good beer, delirium, and the food!
Iâll definitely have to go back and check it out! :)
thanks! this helped a lot. very underrated channel
Aw thanks so much! Iâm glad you found it helpful :)
We visited Bruges for the first time afew months ago, it's gorgeous. We would love to see the Christmas markets there. Ghent looks beautiful. This place is on our travel list for sure. We've been to Brussels, but didn't enjoy it as much as Bruges. This looked like a great trip. Cheers đ»
Thanks so much! Yeah the Christmas markets are amazing, highly recommendđ
belgium has three official languages. Dutch is spoken by 60% of the population, French 39%, and German 1%
Oh wow I didnât know about the German part! Thanks for sharing :)
One advice : avoid taking taxis. They are expensive. If you do have to take one (eg you are carrying a ton of luggage too cumbersome for public transport) official taxis come in all shapes and colours but they always carry a 'T-X" numberplate.
Great tip thanks for sharing! Yeah I never take taxis I always use public transport or walk!
Been living in Belgium for 30+ years and I still manage to find new cool places to visit. Travelled to other places, if I didn't live near Brussels, i might maybe live in Zwitserland, but otherwise, I see no better country to live in.
Iâm so glad you love living there! Itâs a wonderful country :)
Trust me you only need an hour to see everything worth seeing in Brussels. So on your way to Bruges or somewhere more interesting stop in Brussels, see the Grand Place, and if you must, see the Mannekin Pis, then head out of Brussels. Also it is the only European city where I have had things thrown at me for walking while non-white.
Yeah thatâs what Iâve heard thatâs why I wasnât upset to miss it and spend our time in Bruges and Ghent instead!!
I went on a kayaking tour on of the rivers next to Ghent and one of my friends' kayak had a hole in it so they sank đ
Omg no!đđ thatâs awful!!
They started with a kayak and ended with a submarine.
Tourists in Flanders should know how to swim , a lot of canals in Flanders .
Hey, we plan to do one day trips to brugge and ghent from Brussels, what time should we reach the 2 places.. we plan to reach by 10;30 and leave by 6⊠is that right?
Yeah I think thatâs plenty of time! Enjoy your trip :)
10.30 is ok as you avoid rush hour (7-9) but in the evening there is no avoiding possible I guess, rush hour is from about 16h to 19h. On a positive note, it's an occasion to see many natives in their natural habitat.
Why don't you try french speaking cities next time like Nalur, Dinant and LiĂšge for instance ? You would be amazed too (and I know what I am writing about !)
Yeah maybe next time!!
Hi đ, what months are the best time to go visited?
Hello!! It depends what youâre looking for- we wanted Christmas markets so we went in late November & it was magical. But if you prefer warmer weather you might want to go another time. There are pros and cons to each season there, so completely up to you!
@@SheRunTheWorld thank you so much.
