    Well as long as she's happy couldn't she find another place for her serenity...that place should be preserved as a national treasure

    Thanks Karen, damn fun police over here.

    This is why we can't have nice things, Karen. Glad your gaudy home in the most expensive neighborhood in Bloomington is no longer being 'terrorized' by the rest of the community who've enjoyed this landmark for decades.

    A story as old as time. Something cool exists. Well-to-do entitled person builds something nearby and starts complaining. Something cool gets shut down. Well-to-do person smiles through the Botox because she "won".

      Perhaps you might consider the other angles to the story. How about watching four hours of video of a couple of parent crying over their now brain dead from a blunt head injury son or daughter in an ICU somewhere. Not as simple as you think, is it?

      @@jcraigshelton I’m pretty sure the only harm ole Karen in the video cares about is to her property value and not the kids getting hurt. Also I’m not watching four hours of brain dead kids- you should really try watching dogs skateboarding or some more lighthearted shit on here Morrissey.

    This reminds me of people who built homes near a drag racing strip in Topeka and then tried to have it shut down because of the noise. The drag strip had been there for thirty years before they built their homes nearby.

    This lady is such a liar!
    A) 300 people = 20-30 AT MOST
    B) Parking on the side of the road never prevented her trucks from getting through.
    Malarkey malarkey malarkey

    If you don't want to be bothered by kids partying and drinking and swimming, don't buy the land adjacent to the strip pit from the movie. Duh.

    Well gee whiz rich lady we're all so happy you have the peace and serenity you hold so dear at the expense of others. Us regular folks don't wanna bother you.

    That sux. She should have pissed off somewhere else. Shame there was no unity or organisation there.

    Police on speed dial? Cameras? The Rod's of the world always say same thing, "Cutters started it!"

    Shit! Even the Sheriff swam there. Now it’s gone ‘cause Stolberg wants peace and quiet. Maybe if she got that stick out of her ass and had a doobie, she’d lighten up and would’ve enjoyed a swim in there herself.

  • @hehhehhuhhuh7014
    @hehhehhuhhuh7014 Před 2 lety +3

    I GET the fact that she wants peace and quiet, so do I. I can't stand noisy neighbors. But if I were her, I would simply build somewhere else instead of taking away something iconic that people come to appreciate.

    Which end got filled in? I walked the area a number of years ago, and there was the active end with ladders and swings and stuff, and then the other end where really no swimming went on. It looks like they filled in the active end.

    Hey Laura, Tell us you’ve never seen the movie without telling us. Wow! It was such a beautiful national treasure. Maybe someone cool will someday buy her house and demand the quarry be dug back up and preserved.

    Oh, by the way, McDonald's coffee is hot - probably should ban coffee or get rid of bicycles because most people ride them without helmets...Let's do away with a famous location because of one person's complaint.

      @tommym321 Před 2 lety +2

      Whoa whoa whoa. I agree this lady is a pain in the ass. But McDonalds has totally manipulated you into thinking that the “hot coffee” lawsuit was some silly frivolous thing- it wasn’t at all. Google the actual facts of the case. Don’t forget to look at the pictures either.
