- "N.I.B." is a song released by the British heavy metal band Black Sabbath. It first appeared as the fourth track on the band's 1970 eponymous debut album, Black Sabbath. The lyrics are in the first person from the point of view of Lucifer. Lyricist Geezer Butler has said that "the song was about the devil falling in love and totally changing, becoming a good person."
"N.I.B." begins with a bass solo by Geezer Butler, titled "Bassically" on some US releases. It involves the use of wah-wah on his bass and was recorded in one take, as the amp's volume control is audibly turned up before the distorted bass intro of "N.I.B." begins - Hudba
Vinny appice is a dam animal on drums he loved Ronnie that's why he always stuck with him
man i wish could hop in a time machine go to all these concerts in 1980..one hell of a year for metal and hardrock
We lost Bon that year. Definitely had it's ups and downs.
And we got Brian Johnson, Bruce Dickinson and Ronnie James Dio🤘
dunky dog this tour was great, the 80s were great. And no smart phones! They would have changed my 80s completely and not for the better. At least there was some privacy.
@@NightwingReturns Don't forget John Bonham and John Lennon, too.
Não existiu um vocalista melhor que esse. Dio é a voz imensa do heavy metal.
Ozzy nailed it...only the late Great Dio could pull it off as a cover song RIP bro!!!
Are you saying when Brian Johnson is singing Highway to Hell he is doing a cover..?? Or when Coverdale plays Mistreated with Whitesnake ?? Because you´re saying some stupid shit, then...
Dio was such a passionate and energetic singer. He sang other people's songs better than they did.He did the same thing in Rainbow to Coverdale when they covered Mistreated.Although Sabbath had problems with Blue Oyster Cult on this tour, it was still the best metal tour of that year. Dio will always be the best singer Sabbath ever had and Heaven & Hell will always be their best album. Ronnie forever!
He didn't sing it better than ozzy he had energy but no emotion it it he was just covering a song.
@@icyfrost101 Joke kkkk Dio sing much better than Ozzy, He had much most technically, emotion and this is much obviously.
I was at this show . did not know they were making a movie until I got there
R.I.P. Great Ronnie
0:33 Man i fucking love that bassist!
Geezer Butler! lmL Great Bassist!!!!!
1:40 this part is beautiful!
one of my favorites with Dio,Ozzy himself would probably admit that Ronnie sounds incredible!!
Rest in peace legend.
The greatest voices in heavy metal history!
2:50 what an amazing Part Tony iommi really is something else.. One of a kind!!
I've been blessed to see Dio perform this..and Ozzy with original members of Black Sabbath and must say Ronnie kicked ass!! But that's standard dude was a beast behind Bruce Dickinson on vocals
He was much better than Dickinson.
Dio was clearly another level of vocalist, he was better than Dickison.
This is one of the songs I could listen with any Sabbath singer ,I love em all. This version with Ronnie is brilliant!
The man of the steel tonsils!!
*Some people say my love cannot be true*
*please believe me, my love, and I'll show you*
Belchior on bass here, guys, what a honor to see that lol
Pra que escrever uma merda dessa em inglês
Dio sounds like Lucifer himself 😈🤟🎸
Well di0 !!!!! He is/will be a charmer. he can demolish any singer. Won't say he is better than Ozzy because both the version is flawless.
DIOOOO FOREVER BEST BEST.
nice vid, nice info, subscribed justly. cheers tks a lot
First comment and you have had this video up for a year!
mr.dio is a great singer ,other ozzy fan still dont acknowledge mr.dio as black sabbath vocalist that replaced dio and think he dont sing ozz songs well
this dio you see in sabbath not his usual singing fashion you can listen to his cover of war pigs when he still in electric elves
mr.dio here in sabbath is playing a role on how they want him to sing
it's so tasty with dio but ozzy rocks this song harder! priceless legends
Dio did a lot of great songs with sabbath but this one is more like ozzy's song
+antonio garcia Ozzy will be always million light years behind Dio skills
Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow 1977 I coden agree more
antonio garcia finally somebody with common sense their is nothing better than the original
True
Whatever dio sings it's Magic
Despite the comments, l think he did a very good job.
He said geezer is gonna began the solo for you an he goes straight into the riff lmao !!
Ive heard dio state numerous times that him and ozzy were good friends before he joined black sabbath and i have one question
Am i the only one that ponders the collaborations/covers they could have done if they remained friends.
Ex. Dio covers tonight or see you on the other side maybe even fire in the sky.
And to hear ozzy cover heaven and hell or die young( while he still had the vocal range).
I just think any one of these would be at the very least an interestingly captivating performance.
Ikr would’ve been awesome! Ozzy kinda lost his vocal range around 75 to haha afterwards it went down drastically
Masters
For all you delusional people that keep dissing Ozzy, first of all, no one is a arguing that Dio is a great singer and a more technically talented singer than Ozzy. Literally no one. However if you understand anything about early Sabbath's sound, you would be able to hear that their early style really jammed well with Ozzy's voice. They had a much heavier blues influence, which Ozzy's baritone voice really complemented. It was the chemistry and talent of all the original members that made Sabbath into the revolutionary band that it became. It's okay to like Dio as a singer, but it's meaningless to keep arguing Ozzy vs Dio. It's okay to like both or like one better than the other. Each of their voices has a place in Sabbath's musical style eras. But don't forget the Black Sabbath roots.
Ronnie james dio 🔥 🍺⚡️🎶🍷🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Legendary singer's are not interchangeable lol long live metal
this man may be better than ozzy skill wise but theres something about ozzy you can't replace
Yeah, Dio is also a much nicer and humble dude... xDxD
Ozzy was replaced
Ozzy is really more of a comedic performer. Good singer. Dio is a phenomenal singer
@Puji Pamungkas yep because god forbid someone else interpret the song their own way and sing it in their own style
that is being wild and hyping the crowd that's the thing good on ozz but when it comes to singing and other things i believe mr.dio is upp
Can you imagine a collaboration between Dio and Ozzy in this song? Would be great
the best 😈
I always wanted to like NIB but somewhere it fell too flat, it was missing something. As it turns out Dio was the missing piece!
this version killed the original with ozzy for me. DIO!!!
+AsaDefiled No question about it
No Ozzy, No Black Sabbath ;)
In fact, no Iommi/Ward, no Black Sabbath
no ozzy iommi gezzer or ward no sabbath no dio no heaven and hell no ian no deep sabbath no tony martin no eternal idol but i like it all as long as it has iommi
Adolfo Hernández I can easily disagree with you this song just doesn't work with dio's voice
And here Ronnie simply destroyed Ozzy version...
I agree with you! Ronnie is a way better singer than Ozzy
Ozzy was maybe the showman, but Dio was THE voice. I respect Ozzy's contributions, but he sounded always awful to my ears.
they're both good in different ways. And this son is definitely more an Ozzy's song. Love Dio though
Matttt true
Psycho Machinery lies
Ozzy the best original
This song is crying out for Ozzy...
That´s your opinion... My favorite period of Sabbath is with Ozzy, but Im smart enough to like two things at the same time ¬¬
Don Arden... WTF?
Dio sound more clearly then Ozzy
Que falta de respeto por parte de Dio
falta de respeto x que? El único falta de respeto aqui eres Tu!!!
Dio did an excellent rendition, but I wish he kept quite when Iommi was doing his first guitar solo...
Ozzy forever!
It´s like "Jesus Christ superstar" version of N.I.B., but i do LOVE Dio, anyway...
Dio was an extremely good Singer, certainly superior - technique-wise- than Ozzy but i prefer Ozzy on his own songs. I like Dio much Better than coverdale on rainbow songs though
Meglio Ozzy
just look at it from this point of view....Ronnie James Dio can sing every and any Ozzy song. Ozzy cannot sing one dio song. enough said
Tony is so geeked
Ronnie James Dio >>>> ozzy
Black Sabbath sounded like a cover band without Ozzy. Sometimes music is more about passion and stage presence than vocal techniques.
Myself and I If you honestly think Dio didnt have passion and stage presence your very Fuked up! He was a true Vocalist, Song writer and muscian, Ozzy wasnt!
SDS 4Life so what was ozzy
+Myself and I You sound like a person who doesn´t know shit about life, I just want you to know that...
To me Tony is Black Sabbath and he has always got that Menacing Evil presence.. Pure Legendary Status to me
This is a butchered version of a classic masterpiece.
Dio version is much superior kkk
Upgraded version*
No Ozzy no Black Sabbath
*No Iommi
Iommi is Black Sabbath
Ozzy was just along for the ride. It was and always will be Iommi's band
