What are your thoughts on Water Maps in Age of Empires IV?

I love water maps, especially multiplayer water maps.

I like maps like this, which aren't the most important part of the game. like four lakes

I don't mind hybrid maps like Nagari and Migration, but I don't play them as I don't have the APM, as I'm a low-ELO scrub. I hate maps like Archipelago that are all water. They suck big-time.

Haha yeah I think hybrid is even worse because you need to worry about land and water

I think water battles are not fun and they are mostly abandoned by the devs. It's all about demo ships and that's it

Water maps suck. I veto them all and skip watching water map games during tournaments. I'm definitely not the minority here.

I also skip watching them, mostly because I feel the strategy element is lost and it’s all about microing ships. Since if you win water you win the game that’s the only strategy that is viable in these kinds of maps
