Things to Do in Valley of Fire State Park with Kids

We took our kids to see Valley of Fire State Park just outside of Las Vegas! We had fun doing Elephant Rock, the Fire Wave Trail, and White Domes Trail, the trail with a slot canyon, at the end of White Dome Road. We used the West Entrance and drove along Valley of Fire highway (which is the main road) to the Valley of Fire Visitor Center.
When you turn onto White Dome Road, also called Mouse’s Tank Road, you’ll find some of the best places and hiking trails in this state park. Enjoy the scenic drive and find the iconic viewpoint of Mouse’s Tank Road.
Valley of Fire is one of the best day trips from Las Vegas, and we spent a full day exploring the park. At the end of the video, I share a little bit of what we did on the Las Vegas Strip with kids.
