Being an owner of 2 Audi Quattros, a 2006 Avant and a 2013 Allroad, I appreciate the commercial but, honestly, wonder how the results would appear if it was a Mercedes or BMW commercial. It also has to do with how the cars are driven.

Absolute bullshit. I live in Finland,and work at BOSCH-Helsinki car service. The entrance to the service is a bit uphill,and just before the gate there is place with lots of snow and ice. Its not once or twice,where Audi models stuck in the middle,with front tires inside,and rear spinning outside. Its laughable to see Quattro suffering so easy obstacle. BMW"s equipped with X Drive go almost without wheels spin..,even the first generation 525IX goes easier.

Just handed in my A4B9 quattro and picked up my brand new 530 X Drive. Just got my winters installed (sottozero3) i’m waiting for the snow to hit the mountains so I can start driving around in the snow and compare for real. I am very curious to see how the BMW really handles. What I can say for sure is that so far I have the impression that the Audi is more “stuck” to the turns on dry road.
I have a bmw, and I never got stuck. Ofcource, in the snow the traction control is annoying and useless to me, turn it off, and I feel in full control over the road. All season goodyear tires in a 2002 325xi. I use to own a 1998 audi a4 and I would get stuck in the simplest places like the dip between my driveway and grass. I got stuck in my neighbors driveway full of snow. It took me an hour by myself rocking it back and forth until it I managed to get it unstuck. The good thing is, I never would experience loss of control on the road. I could drive faster then the traffic with confort, and It was good at pulling other cars out. My BMW would rarely get stuck in snow. But unlike the audi, it sits lower to the ground. It did make it through major snow storms, but I felt like it struggled a bit more then the audi, and I had to pay more attention to my driving because I felt the rear wheels kicking out for some reason. AWD though. I got stuck in my neighbors driveway, and within 5 minutes, Id made it out of the driveway and continued on. I would never get stuck in the simplest places though. The BMW doesnt do well with pulling cars out, even though it has the frame and equipment for it. The BMW does have more of a fun factor in the snow as I can drift with it alot easier and have just as much control. Overall, the audi seemed more reliable while on the road, but catch it in a small ditch, and its defeated. The land has to be flat around all angles for it lol! The BMW I have sits a bit lower, but I feel if I raised it up 2 inches, my traction in the snow would be on par with the Audi. My choice for an everyday driver for all weather conditions would be a BMW
guys 4 wheels drive have two differnt types. mechanical and electronic. quttro is mechanical , bmw and benz are electronic. mechnical is good at steep path and another one is good at general road. and its not matter, just buy what u want to drive
I think it's because of basic driving method. Audi quattro is transformed from Front wheel drive. However, Mercedes 4 matics and Bimmer X drive are transformed from Rear wheel drive. Usually FF is better than FR on the snow. Probably Quattro might be the best 4 wheel drive. I mean Bimmer is king on the ground and Audi is king of snow. (How about Mercedes??? -Umm... Mercedes is... And manufacturers won't do fair and official displays because they don't want to point out who's system is the worst. Audi is 50/50%. in this case, when you step on the pedal, MB and BMW act more like RWD vehicles vs AUDI acts like 4x4 vehicle. I do not see Subaru unfortunately. Chiar daca e adevarata prezentarea cine se gandeste biiiine tot bmw sau mercedes alege. Si dece ? Pt ca la bmw/merceds se pune accent pe tractiunea sapate si asta e bine gandit. Chiar daca e adevarata prezentarea cine se gandeste biiiine tot bmw sau mercedes alege. Si dece ? Pt ca la bmw/merceds se pune accent pe tractiunea sapate si asta e bine gandit. Tractiunea spate este deficitara doar daca se forteaza dar este totusi controlabila din acceleratie insa cel mai important avantaj il are la frana de motor care fiind pe spate redreseaza masina pe directia buna pe cand la audi da poate se descurca la start in zapada mai bine dar la viteze mari cand esti furat si folosesti frana de motor pierzi orice control masina invartindu-se cu spatele in fata deoarece fata franeaza pe cand spatele aluneca. Eu prefer tractiunea spate, o consider mai sigura din aceasta privinta. Prefer masina care stie sa franeze nu sa demareze ca aia te scoate din impas. Accidentele ce le vedem cu bmw sunt produse in general de tineri care forteaza limitele masinii si chiar a lor pierzand apoi controlul datorita placerii de a conduce aceste masini. Astfel un bmw sau mercedes devine periculos in mana unui sofer periculos dar pt un sofer chibzuit este o masina placuta si mai sigura decat celelalte.
sunt fan bmw dar habar n ai ce vorbesti..si eu is unu dt tinerii aia care au avut bmw, dar acum ma uit la un a6. Tot bmw imi va ramane mereu in suflet dar quatro e regele si din cate am citit si vazut la prieteni care au ambele masini a6 sta mai bine pe curba decat f10, chiar daca are o directie mai plictisitoare ca a bmw-ului. mrecedes are taicameu, e masina de oameni mai batrani nu se compara cu audi la pull pt tineri

Кино и немцы. Любители ауди сняли ролик. На круге бмв обгоняет ауди как и положено авто с уклоном на задний привод, на горке вообще каких-то лохов посадили за мерс и бмв, явно чела с переднего привода, вход в поворот просто не приемлем в таком виде. В общем видео лажа.
