I've been in love with this group ever since I saw them in The Muppet Show, this style is unlike anything I've ever seen, and the best part is you easily know what kind of story each of these are telling without the aid of dialogue, just meme, puppetry, and motions. Long live The Mummenschaz.
I thought I was the only one who remembered them. I saw them on the muppet show when I got the season 1 dvd set and fell in love with what they do. I found this video (but it was about 2008-2009 so it was another upload) as well as ones called "Mummenschanz 1", "Mummenschanz 2" but then I saw one called "Mummenschanz B" "Mummenschanz C" and then i saw "Mummenschanz 4". Unfortunately I cant find all of them anymore, only this one, B, and C, and now I see you commenting here 22 hours ago!? Hi fellow Mummenschanz fan!
"Mummenschanz" war vor 40 Jahren schon absolute Spitze. > Weiter so, Frau Frassetto; Alles Gute und .... Bleiben Sie, - Ihre Tochter und Ihre Crew gesund und munter!
Waldorf: Bravo! Bravo! Statler: What are you bravo-ing about? Waldorf: That performance! It was first rate. Statler: Yes, it was good. But so far only one act I've ever seen deserved a bravo. Waldorf: Oh really, who was it? Statler: Lady Vanessa Montgomery and her trained piranhas. I'll never forget her closing night at the Kravis Center. Waldorf: What happened? Statler: Well she fell into a big piranha aquarium as she went onstage, and when the curtain opened, the attendees were stunned and shocked to see her being eaten to death by those piranhas! Waldorf: That was a hard act to follow. Statler: Yeah well, I saw that and I cried. Waldorf: Really? What did you cry? Statler: Bravo! Bravo!
i kinda wanna try something like that with the silly putty face. i have 1 question. How is the putty attached to the face? is there a frame on the head, or is it just slapped directly on the fabric?
I'm pretty sure there's a mask and on top of the mask they put the stuff. I'm pretty sure it's either Plasticine or even clay, silly putty is much too soft.
Looks sort of like grey blu-tack. It's too sticky and stringy to be some type of clay. But yea, the fabric alone couldn't hold all that weight, so it's a mask underneath.
There’s another one of these that has the paper face drawings sketch, I’ve seen it before but that was a long time ago. Any chance you’ll be able to find it? Would very much he appreciated.
amazing performance
i can't believe I've never heard about this group before

If I get a sense of art by a moving mound of poop and a slinky, am I cultured?
Very
I think is more meat than poop
I love this so much, I’m so glad I saw em in Boston. (Earlier in my life)
The first act looks like a magician and assistant act. Which hits home for me, being a magician myself
3:07 este es uno de esos raros que dross ablaba
Dross: muchos niños se perturbaron viendo esto
yo: es bellísimo
The Muppet Show brought me here
Me Too.
Me too 😃
The music is incredible. FR.
The clay skit is my favorite
But how does that logic work that they have the same face at the end...
It's played backwards.
I would not want to be on acid watching this.
I love the message behind the clay mask skit
absolutely spectacular. Going to see them in NorthRidge CA on Feb 11th. Can't wait.
Even though this probably wasn't, I could totally see this being made in Quebec
I remember reading that they're Swiss..
It's oddly satisfying
9:08 When I try to put on makeup vs my friends.
The Awesome Gray Eevee Lol

A blob or maybe a Like-Like from "The Legend of Zelda?"
How made the music?

The end
Watch if you’re high, I dare you!!!!
Gotta stop smoking
İ just wonder how they see
The coverings they wear underneath the masks likely aren't completely opaque
¨< HUMOR !! !!!!
That’s super awesome
Anyone else get here from a reference in Archer?
Archer? Wha..
I forget the episode, if you've not seen the show I'd recommend it.

We enjoy it because it's impressive, artistic, and surreal.
