- Its hard to find a WWE PPV more “ruthless aggression era” than this one. It might not be the greatest PPV or a PPV with a 5 star classic, but man the nostalgia alone makes me love this event, also it had two fun Survivor Series tag matches. We got Cena coming back from almost dying, Randy Orton going GOD mode, and we saw Euguene for 2 seconds. Sounds fun no? Survivor Series 04 had one of my favourite PPV theme songs of the Ruthless Aggression Era (“Ugly” by The Exies) that song along with the pre match promo videos always got me hyped
Damn.... And here I thought, I was the only one here who felt like that
I really enjoyed Orton’s face run in 04-05. It’s a shame more people didn’t feel the same way.
What messed it up was Triple H not willing to legitimately put him over. Instead HHH wanted to make Batista the star.
I liked Orton as a cocky anti-face. And he should have been the one to go over as a result of the Evolution angle. Had more years of wrestling left in him than Batista did, and out of the two, he made a better face.

I love how the narrative was that Orton wasn’t over as a face during this face fun which is bullshit. Orton was massively over as a face during this run. WWE just botched it so hard by having him constantly lose to Triple H.
Survivor Series 2005 was even better.
8:11 man I knew JBL at the border was wild in the moment, but how blatantly you explain the angle in one sentence here just hammers it home. It definitely solidified him as a heel to me as a kid more than any match, that and giving Eddie's mom a heart attack. Just insane heel work.

2004 Undertaker was okay, I loved the look though of the short long hair but still has those biker pants and belt. I thought the match quality started picking up at Armageddon 2004 when Eddie Guerrero, JBL, Booker T had that Fatal 4 way match and he looked quick and fast

You forgot to explain the stipulation for the Orton vs Flair match. If Orton lost (which he did), he could never get a title match as long as HHH was champion.
Also, in December, you gotta a video on Armageddon. I'd probably say 2005 since it had Chris Benoit VS. Booker T in another classic during their Best-of-7 Series for the US Title, Big Show/Kane VS. Rey Mysterio/Batista in a RAW VS. Smackdown match following the Survivor Series RAW VS. Smackdown match/storyline and the end of the awesome Undertaker/Randy Orton feud inside Hell In A Cell
(an underrated HIAC match in my opinion since I see no one talking about it nowadays).
I might start doing these PPV reviews myself for my channel lol.

I was at survivor series 2005 live in Detroit .it was a rainy day.
Dude I was at attendance at this show. My dad called a radio station to win tickets in the backroom at his job. We went to the show on a bus with a bunch of other wrestling fans. I was six years old and scared out of my mind when I saw the undertaker, Hearing the chair shot from Lita to Trish and excited to see all my favorites as a kid from Rey Mysterio and Cena. So many memories while watching this.
Thought I was the only one that considered this Survivor Series one of the greatest ones ever💪🏻💪🏻

I remember they were keeping Cena off TV during the time and people were really waiting for Cena's return. Also Randy was red hot that time, Cena on SD, Orton on Raw both faces rising at the same time was must watch TV.
