Until Sam Hyde was banned, I legitimately thought he and idubbbz had a deal to create extra hype through the supposed controversy between them. It could’ve been scripted, especially when he started training Epic Meal Time. It was a real dump on Sam’s head banning him after all the free hype. Imagine being so dense that the man beneath the persona was giving every hint of full support without breaking character and you punk him so you don’t have to sleep on the couch.

You know, I do find it interesting that even though Sam is seen as this "controversial personality" he doesn't seem to be outright malicious towards others. He does things to catch people off guard or whatever, but he doesn't really seem particularly bitter about things.
Sam might be mad about how things have gone with Ian, but he doesn't seem to outright hate Ian as a person, Sam just hates the things Ian has done. It's almost as if Sam expects better from Ian, but understands that our expectations of a person, is not always indicative of the the actions that people make. I think that that's a good perspective to have, and I wish that more people took on that sort of role. To expect a lot out of people, but not to hold bitterness or hatred towards people who fail to live up to expectations.
Sam keeps it real when he isn't fucking with people in usually harmless ways. It's just that merely being associated with something/someone as controversial as he is can be career suicide.
