Way late seeing this !! Thanks for introducing me to Alec Flynn !! Love his sense of humor. Impressive talk about prayer & the Rosary from a young man. Unheard of quite frankly on any other Social media I've consumed. The reading today now yesterday for Mass was my favorite Bible passage. It forever changed my life hearing it. Definite buzz kill for the majority of the world. Sobering is how I'd describe hearing it for the first time. Written 2000 years ago by St. Paul to the Galatians 5:13-26, because it sounds like an indictment of the modern/ fallen world. I guess things haven't changed as much as we presume....Pax

on the points about brave new world and hedonism, durkheim has interesting things to say about community, excess, and overregulation. Particularly his ideas the four types of suicide. as a brit i can confirm we do enjoy bloodsports, calling women birds, and saying cunt in every other sentence
