- Seascape and Landscape Photography In Cornwall. 4 Days and 25 miles of coastline. Living in out my Converted Campervan. Can it get any Better? Is asking for great weather too much?
I have returned to the South West Coastal Path. The Cornish sections for 4 days of coastal seascape photography. In this first video, I tackle a few technical and compositional challenging locations. Including Steep and rocky valleys leading to the sea, balancing the aesthetics of architecture with the landscape, and a good dose of challenging lighting conditions.
In this first video I make an error of judgment, racing against time I abandoned a subject - an error I would regret and eventually put right in a video coming soon.
This video is the first part of a series produced over 4 days linking together a few sections of the SouthWest Costal Path. Check out individual videos or watch the whole playlist below.

perfect! have a great day~🙌
Well thank you glad you enjoyed there should be another three parts to come over the next few weeks
A great vid Brian, Cornwall certainly has some magical places tp photograph you captured them well.
Thanks Pete
I too try to avoid the hand of man in my images. Sometimes though something like a trail adds to the composition and makes for a stronger image.
Loved using the iPhone as a pre visualization tool.
Makes a lot of sense compared to unpacking and setting up all your gear only to find you didn’t see anything that caught your eye.
Thanks Kev, I’ve started using the iPhone a fair bit now to check out potential compositions. May have to invest one of those fancy apps that have different view ratios built in. Suggestions anyone?
@@BrianNorthmorePhotography for my Astrophotography I use Theodolite to figure out angles and things like that during the daytime to see where things will line up.
If a comet is going to be x degrees above the horizon at a certain heading, it will allow me to see in the daytime if I’ll be able to see and photograph it.
@NaturePhotoStudios I’ll have a look
the cove will be on my list spot on images i will ask a question reason for a 3 stop and a 6 stop why not just a 10 stop sorry about my ignorance
Sorry Rog bad wording on my part, it didn’t use them together. But took versions using both to give me varying shutter speeds. I carry a 10 and 15 stop with me. Having said that in a few weeks that may change when I trial a new filter system…. There will be a vid about this.
thanks@@BrianNorthmorePhotography
