god i love the place bell. the lighting creating this sort of foggy, hazy atmosphere makes it such a unique experience to see a hockey game.
Best in the league yes! Just missing the full upperdeck and ribbon to be a full NHL building , but yes that haze... especially great in the playoffs. 2022 was a great experience.

I have been using the stabilislide since 2020 now, it’s very hard to switch to any other pad without an integrated knee block.

For me I didn’t like my trues, I like my pads very loose and they couldn’t provide the same looseness of my Bauer and the wrist mobility of the blocker can’t be matched with Bauer. Also I found that on used ice like half of period they don’t quite slide as easy as the Bauer do and required more effort for the same push.

Yes i got to demo all 3 models, 600 felt terrible, 590 was decent but pocket was too small compared to 580

Random question, when I played junior and college, my hardest transition was pucks rimmed around the board that went higher into the glass. I would lose sight of the puck due to the crowd or seats camouflaging the puck. Any tricks you use to be able to track the puck and stop it on rims for your defense that go higher than the white boards and into the glass?
For me at least when I played, those high rims were nearly impossible to corral for the reasons you mentioned along with the unpredictability of the puck hitting the stanchion. What helped me was obviously eye tracking, along with trying to use your ears to find the puck and time your body pinch on the boards to stop those high rims/dumps
@@geraldking69420 now I'm just playing beer league and not many rinks here (NC) with bleachers that make it hard to find the puck, but yeah... I enjoyed playing the puck but jumping to jr/college that was definitely a major change for me.
I dont play the puck when its on the glass, too many weird bounces happen that can lead to a goal

7bauer vapour and supreem have always been about pop, hot rebounds its odd that you are going to a soft set up. $$$ maybe
True gear does not have a soft setup. Even their “hybrid” has adjusted to the new game… it’s all hard core and hot rebounds now…
I like my pads to have flex, how rebounds come off has never been a factor for me. I just use what i like the best and can perform best with, ive never had a money deal with any gear company
I would say that Bauer looks better but TRUE seem to perform better

Hey Kas I have a question. So for your blocker you cut off the finder straps for your sure grip on your stick I have a similar thing I was wondering if you get less protection and less quality by doing that on a Bauer blocker because I just got one.
I use the trigger grip on my stick so the fingers strap would pull on my index too hard so i cut it off, it leaves it little exposed
