      Nice that you were able to enjoy your team win it. Great season this year for them in the Fed 👍

    Loads of great info here. I became a fan during the current season. Saw some fine play. Have to brag a bit, my Binghamton Black Bears just won the Commissioner's Cup, sweeping the playoffs! Looking forward to next season.

      Thanks Kenneth- we're glad you enjoyed it 💪 🏒 🏆 Tip of the hat to your club on taking home FPHL league hardware. They had a solid roster and some great players there this season!

    Elmira season ticket holder here…personally I enjoy the Fed…games are very competitive and intense… officials are very professional…teams and players are community friendly….players and coaches do very well with interacting with their fan base, especially the younger fans. Even visiting teams are kind to the fphl fan base…I’ve personally talked with Danbury players and thier head coach … both were extremely personable and willing to take time for a conversation…
    I do the fed stays around here in Elmira… I couldn’t live with myself if I have to support the black bears…

      That's great to hear Matthew. Agreed on the positive community interactions from players to coaching staffs from what we've seen across the board. It's always nice to see and positive for the game- especially to inspire the young ones 🏒 Glad you enjoyed the content on the league!!

      Black bears are a game away from a championship. Elmira team is gone after a year.

      Good question. That short few-second overlay clip at :23 is one of the few licensed clips we purchased so not sure about the specific arena, but the one following it is from Biloxi Coast Coliseum. Hope you enjoyed the video!

    Feels weird as hell seeing the high attendance numbers, considering that my local team pulls similar figures each night, and they're a Finnish *premier league* (Liiga) team. The league is considered to be pretty much the third or fourth highest level of hockey in all of Europe, right behind the SHL and sort of neck and neck with the NLA in Switzerland. Lower tier leagues that are more comparable to the Fed in the level of competition struggle to pull even 50 people a night. Wish people around here would show that kind of support and interest in the minor leagues 😂

      You bring up an interesting point. A few of the biggest variables that likely impact the higher fan attendance numbers even at the Single-A pro level in North America is a combination of higher population sizes in the United States (in general) paired with the big one of most of these teams being the highest tier hockey team (or maybe even the only minor league sports team overall) in that particular town they are based in- making it a popular event to take part in for locals....even in some of these small market towns in the US.
      PS: We love attending/scouting games in Finland 💪 🏒

    • @deekusucks
      @deekusucks Před měsícem

      @@PlayHockeyInEurope Population is definitely the biggest factor. New York City alone has a larger population than all of Finland. The small town thing you mentioned with there not being any higher tier teams in the area - I don't think that really is a variable that changes a whole lot of anything since that is also true for a lot of Division 2 and 3 teams in Finland as well. I'm originally from a small town with a Division 2 hockey team, and nobody was interested in going to those games. Only people who work within the organization or have friends playing there really do, and still even they weren't regulars. It's mostly an attitude thing. It's premier league or nothing, even Mestis teams (second-highest tier) struggle to really form a fanbase and a culture around the team. And it's not just lack of interest, I feel like there's even a certain stigma to it. Like, if I'd ask a friend to come to the local Division 2 game with me, they'd laugh me off and think I'm being weird.

      @PlayHockeyInEurope  Před měsícem +3

      @@deekusucks spot on with the stigma part in terms of the broader perception...completely different. On that note, we'll join for you a Liiga and for that Division 2 match. Win win for us....can enjoy a few beverages at both 🍻 😉
