The amount of times Binner says “ I don’t want to get into it” truly means shit went down
I have a feeling we're gonna hear that from alot from people when it comes to controversial stories on the podcast after the Roenick thing.
That and he's a spoiled little shit that's going to want 10M a year and be sent packing to a team that's willing to deal with his bullshit...
"Steer clear" tattooed on his forehead....
God Damn douche alert
Elias Pettersson numbers from last year don’t lie. Confident not cocky. He never talks about himself unless he’s asked to
Because he wanted a fair shake? He's a great goal tender and has worked his ass off to be treated like one.
@@DChappelle27 he was drafted by them in 2011, he's paid enough dues to not get honey dicked around.
"He came in like out of chillin at home to take my spot, took my number, then this guy's sending me down to the cheddar."
I laughed so hard he was so done didn't give two fucks
Absolutely unreal that the guy who raised Lord Stanley’s Cup was at the start of the year being asked to play in the ECHL🤯
Scott Hedley Clearly the big changes mid season was a tacit admission that shot had finally gotten real and it was past time to do something before the whole season was lost
Ya I know it's crazy how the refs won the cup last year
@@billyferal5558 Get outta here with that crap.
it's a business
Goes to show you how some kids are never given a shot.... had they been given that shot, they could have been really great.
Glad Binnington put his foot down.
Biz knows a lot about minor league money
Lmao
As a Bruins fan I have mixed emotions on this considering he played such a huge role in Boston not winning the Cup (Binnington in the first period of Game 7 legitimately crushed the Bruins will to win, it was nuts), but it's kind of cool to hear something like this where a player comes in and there's mutual respect there for how the organization was run compared to what he had to deal with with Brodeur, Yeo, etc. in St. Louis. Hate that it bit the Bruins in the end but it is kind of poetic in a way.
Blah Blah - golf clap
Fuck boston
happy the Bruins were defeated in front of their own fans. LOL
Yeo was garbage and Broduer was too new to the office jobs to handle that level of responsibility. I'm glad Binner got his chance and got the city it's first Cup. It really is an amazingly poetic story though.
Good thing St Louis fixed their shit and are running things more smoothly.
@@ronbonora7872 two of my kids went to the garden for game 7. Wore their Blues gear. They said Boston fans were cool as hell. Couple of douchebags from a distance but 99% good natured rubbing and congrats on the win.
As an ECHL EBUG this makes me feel pretty good 😂
The fact that the eventual Stanley cup champion goaltender was being asked to play in the echl at the start of the year shows how much people suck at evaluating goaltenders
Glenn Gayet including former world class goalies themselves. Marty should have apologized and thanked him for standing up for himself.
What gets me is that he played for Boston’s AHL team a year before and then wins the cup against Boston
yeah it make me happy! LOL
Imagine if he went. No cup
As a boston fan.
This kid is stone cold. Ice veins.
Kudos to him for the success he has had.
Sucks he wiped the Bruins out last finals.
But I have alot of respect for him.
Boston native. Agree 100%. Better team won the series and this guy was a major reason, I can't get mad at the Blues for being the better team.
His foot is at least a yard
Great interview.
His story is beyond insane, what a beauty
lmao after Kalamazoo he made sure he was never going back to the ECHL
What happened there?
I watched him play in Kalamazoo. Lol
I'm just here to see if he gets through the interview without throwing a tantrum
Loved watching him in Kalamazoo
Where is the full video
Would love to see beau bennet on here dude is hilarious
lol that track suit man. What a character
Being from Tulsa... this hurts would’ve been cool seeing him in Tulsa playing for the oilers.
Long Live The Note!
He played echl in my hometown
How big are Binner’s feet??
dude has a hammer
Came to say same 🤣
kyle bro that killed me 😂😂
Not as big as his balls.
Talk about the old adage: Believe in yourself and follow your heart. Right on Binner!
what's with the light grey on light grey their biz
Look at his Giant effin feet 😮
Yea I bet that’s gettin ur mind thinkin there Anna 😭😂💀
BLUES!!! Got to see Binnington in games 2 and 5 in Boston!!! He deserves every bit of accomplishment he has and some. Get this man PAPERED!!! 😆
good to see RA keeping quite
Weird camera framing.
He sounds scarily similar to Bobby Ryan
As a bruins fan this hurts I watched one game of his about a month after he was there in providence and I told my dad why don’t they just trade like a 7th round pick for him I assumed he had no real value if he was here in the bs organization, he saved like 30 something shots and I’m like that guy is amazing kinda hurts now I knew he had it in him
happy he beat Boston in game 7 in front of their own fans. LOL
@@davidgoaternak8683 I follow the poor Leafs who have won the Stanley Cup 13 times! LOL
Ron Bonora lol leafs are a joke and it’s 11 times you idiot you clearly don’t know hockey leafs wont win shit with that team go lose to a zamboni driver
@@davidgoaternak8683 yes the Leafs 11 cups. The prior names Toronto teams that became the Leafs in 1932 were called the Arenas and St. Pats which won 2. if there is a hockey idiot it is you fool!

Getting loaned out could be the shittiest experience of your life
Binnington "OK BOOMER" 'D Martin Broduer
@Not My last name Yeah exactly. No offense to Binner, but maybe put a little more respect on that fucking LEGENDs name. Took YOUR number? Get real bud.
@@KS-xk2so he's right though. I mean, it was fun seeing Marty come in and play those 7 or so games, but it's understandable how a young player would be pissed at not getting the opportunity to debut your skill on the main stage last minute because someone takes your spot.
@@KS-xk2so He was trash by time he hit ST Louis. If you didn't know sports are all about "What have you done for me lately?"
@@KyleMacSkill Muhammad Ali fought long after he should've retired due to financial needs, and his career died with a whimper. Still known as The Greatest. Most of the best of all time hang around longer than they should, because they live and breath the game. The idea that this somehow ruins their legacy is ridiculous. I'm not saying Binnington shouldn't be mad, I'm just saying he could maybe show a little respect to an all time great.
@@KS-xk2so Never said their legacies don't matter - But they shouldn't when assessing whether or not that person makes a team. Wayne Gretzky probably wasn't good enough to NHL hockey when he turned 50 - Does that mean every GM needs to bow down and give up a better player on their roster to have the privilege of having the GOAT in their presence ? Nope, the dude hadn't played well for the 4 years leading up to him playing with the Blues, shouldn't have been allowed on the roster.
Also he ain't the GOAT - Hasek and Roy were both better. GTFO.
Update: headed there real soon
LETS GO BLUES
I think the only reason Binnigton was called up to NHL is because ST.Louis was already out of a playoff spot so they just wanted to tank for a good draft pick, but once he came the started winning games and got em the Stanley Cup.
Mclub that’s not true, since stl didn’t have their 1st round pick that year due to the ROR trade. Therefore they had nothing to tank for
Made me wonder the same thing. We couldn't get the 1st round pick, but Blues management seemed like they gave up on the season that they basically said with Binnington, "Oh well. Let's give this rookie goaltender a shot." I especially thought this, since I remembered Binnier coming in years before after whoever the starting goalie was struggled, so Binnier played the rest of that game. Binnier didn't look hot then. His first shutout didn't completely wow me yet, but it did give me a small glimmer of hope that ended up completely trusting in Binnington.
Tim hunter would be good to hear from
Binner!!!!
Wow
You guys need Trevor linden on the show.
why? he doent sound interesting
He was a great hockey and the face of the Canucks for a long time.

ole marty got in the way of my uncle becoming a full time NHL goalie
Love Binner!! We finally got the shut down goalie we needed, and thank god we have The Chief leading the Blues bay bay!
So why is this a clip?
So binnington was the starter for Boston's minor team (ahl) and swaymann was their backup and Boston tried to fade for him, the blues said no and he went on and won Lord stanley
These dudes want him in boston baddd
sens fans need erik karlsson to get on the podcast. please make it happen
This guy is a alpha
If i wanted someone to dangle shit id go to my jeweler. Does this net clogger say anything or just doesn't want to get into any of it ?
Story is cute but not all true...the year St. louis didn't have their own AHL team they were still sending guys to AHL Chicago for that season...Vegas had their goaltenders established in Chicago and binnington would've been number 3 on the depth chart...so rather than not play much etc, st louis wanted to send him to the ECHL and then worked out a deal with Boston/Providence. San Antonio was still affiliated with another NHL team at that point. The NEXT year they moved their team to San Antonio and binnington played in San Antonio that year then St. Louis.
My team could've had JB.... I'm upset now.
The jury is still out on where his record will end up. Schneider was a great goaltender to, now he is in Binghamton NY playing in the A. Blackwood been bouncing around the E and A last couple years now he has been having great success recently in Newark. I dont care what he says, make fun of the ECHL or AHL all ya want, a little humility please. There are some competitive and men of character waiting in the ECHL and AHL ready to give you a run for the job...
lol the guy won a cup and is on a top 5 team again he aint worried about some bum ass nobody in the ECHL. Also, you realize Schneider struggled with injuries and anxiety over this career right? Which is why he declined over the years. Maybe check ur facts before making such a stupid post.
Bru you’re being a bit sensitive... I don’t feel like he was disrespecting the AHL or ECHL . I think St. Lou dicked him around a lot of promises made & not kept . The kid believed in himself & decided to make a stand .
@@deepbodalia1063 Its not a stupid post, its my opinion. Schneider accepted his send down with some humility at least. I actually rooted for St. Louis to win last year. I myself enjoy games at the ECHL and AHL level, huge fan of the minor pro game. Not only are the prices reasonable the talent hasn't gotten too cocky. Again, yea he is at a good spot in his career but as always no guarantees. Brodeur on other hand absolute legend.
@@mikelynch7271 No not overly sensitive lol but big defender of the minor league game, with all sports not just hockey. I get his gripe, feels like he paid his dues and all that but nothing does rile me more then those that "paid" there dues so to speak. I have seen players have that attitude early on in their careers and it often times doesn't work out in their favor. Not always, but certainly seems more often then not.
One player that comes to mind who accepted getting sent down when he really deserved to be up in the National was Peter Zezel, God rest is soul! He accepted the Devils demotion down to Albany and had a good season there. Such a class act and fan favorite. When he was then dealt to Vancouver he of course wasn't going to play down in the American league but that guy told the organization that he was selected to represent Albany in the AHL All Star game and wanted to honor his commitment to the fans and the team in Albany, and he did! He didn't have to, hell he was out of the AHL, ticket punched from Albany NY to Vancouver, what he did was all class, humble, stand up guy.
That to me is character, and I would rather spend my money seeing that type of player anyday of the week. A good season or two and a cup win is a good thing no doubt, nobody can argue otherwise. I appreciate his effort to stand up for what he thinks is right when he feels he is being screwed around with for sure. The hockey business is a wonky at times numbers games. I think the NHL trying to utilize the ECHL more in the developmental chain is a good thing though. Being humbled by a brief demotion can be a good thing lol. With Schneider's situation yea its unfortunate. Time of age and injuries stacking up works against anyone unfortunately so not sure if he is likely to resurrect his play at a higher level. Schneider though by respecting the organization's assignment to the AHL he is being respectful, accepting his assignment without question, being loyal. That is an intangible quality of character that often doesn't go unnoticed in the tight knit hockey business, looks good for a post playing days employment within an organization 😉👍.
@@k.s.7104 Schneider has been playing pretty good for Binghamton lately too, so it's not out of the question he goes back up and Louis Domingue gets demoted.

I like hockey players way more than any other "group" of athletes. But something about Jordan makes me think i really wouldn't want to be around him. Not sure exactly what it is, and i recognize it is unfair and has no basis, yet i just get the sense that he's a jerk. Sean Avery oozes jerkiness (and shows it by his actions and words) while Jordan seeps it out from the seems (and as far as i know hasn't shown any of it). Anyone else get that sense?
Prolly cus hockey players are mostly white
Joseph Potter no, all hockey players are beige. Just like all football players, and doctors, and custodians. We are all just beige...all different tones of beige.
You have to be that way because the people above you don’t give a shit about you sounds like working in the United States except the hockey player has a union !!!!!! A union!!!
Binnington sounds like he has a French Canadien accent.
You obviously have NEVER heard a french Canadian accent 🤣 And Biz has a Khoisan accent, can't you hear the clicks?😂

@@Blue-dx4sd Okay. Binnington was drafted in 2012. He played in juniors 2012-2013. He mostly played ECHL 2013-2014 (one game in the AHL). He played in the AHL until 2017, when they tried to send him to the ECHL because, as he explains, they didn't have an AHL team to send him to.
That's why he refused. He had already put his time in.
He played in Providence 2017-2018, then San Antonio in 2018 until he got called up to the Blues.
