  • The Day NADAL Won a Match After Being 5 Match Points Down | NEVER GIVE UP!
He faced 4 match points at 5-3 and then another at 5-4
An amazing and extremely underrated comeback that I hadn't even heard of before coming across it this week, Rafael Nadal saved 5 match points in his 4th Round match against David Nalbaldian at Indian Wells in 2009. Nadal went on to capture the title beating Juan Martin Del Potro, Andy Roddick and finally Andy Murray in the final of the Masters 1000 event. Another example of the mental stregth of my GOAT!
Sorry for the wierd resolution as this match was really hard to find in high quality..

Nadal’s mental strength is incredible!! He saved those match points mostly with controlled aggression and winners..1:58 that shot on the line!! He just never gives up!

Thank you for this. I never knew of this match against Nalbandian. It was thrilling just watching it but any Nadal fan is not surprised he overcame, continued, raised his level of play and then won the match in the end. 6-0 in the final set! Yeah, this is why we admire Nadal so much. Yeah, this is my Rafa! Nadal Is My Champion!

    DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nadal is literally THE mentally STRONGEST player on tour! Gotta admit!
Saving 5 match points and winning against a player who has such strong groundstrokes like Nalbandian in a title run to win is absolutely incredible!!
    On another note....
HO-LY!!!!! THE MATCH AGAINST MURRAY WAS RIDICULOUS!!!!! They were playing so fast and running all over the place...
I honestly think Murray was being too aggressive with his offense and played less defensively, especially at the net, and ended up losing a handful of points to Nadal.
