    Recommended exam taking order: AUD, REG, FAR and BEC. Start with AUD because it is not calculation heavy and one can have a good chance passing it and start the cycle off with a good win under one’s belt. REG has both concept (law) questions and calculations so it serves as a good transition to FAR which is calculation heavy. BEC should be taken last because it is the shortest and a combination of everything. Too many people start with FAR which is a big mistake. It is a tough exam and it is good to have a win and some exam experience under one’s belt before jumping into it!

    • @nicktanner8231
      @nicktanner8231 Před 4 lety +5

      I am going to disagree with you on that. Studying for FAR first is actually essential because how are you going to audit financials when you dont know how to process them or understand them? Maybe take BEC first but studying FAR makes you understand the finance section and cost section that much easier

    I am definitely on the hunt for motivation. I should have gotten my CPA done 10 years ago but school, work, travel, 4 kids, and a husband was too much. I took FAR twice failed both times. I've invested in two programs waiting close to $8,000 and now its crunch time. I feel stuck and frustrated in my career and i know its because this is the one thing I need to do. I am a skeptic and fearful of failing again. My life is still busy but I need this CPA DONE. I'm watching video and I need that 3 month success time. But how sure can I be? HELP.

    • @nicktanner8231
      @nicktanner8231 Před 4 lety +2

      Not possible IMO unless you already put in the time. No one decision in life is better than another but having a family before the exam is not compatible with passing and work, the hours just arent available. I’m in my early 20s so all I do is study and barely work and I’m telling you its hard. I passed a few parts so I can give you honest advice. CPA isn’t necessary to be a good accountant but it does force you to learn and have a better resume. I’m not saying its impossible for you but it will pretty much be without consistent monthly studying atleast 3-5 hours per day

      Talisha, I would suggest to have a specific plan to minutes every single day about when to study, when to work, when to spend time with families. Eliminate any unimportant things that you could hold to catch up later after you are done with the exam. You may want to communicate with your husband about the schedule. It will be so helpful if he could help you watch 4 kids while you study for the exam. The main key is to have a specific plan and stay with the plan until you pass all the exam. Good luck, Talisha!

      There is significant doubt. Because no one cares. Because no one in the US can even take the Indian CA exams, nor would they want to take them just to make less than $20k per year

      Same situation in Pakistan. The CA of our 2 countries only passes a top fixed number of students.
