Doesn't matter. This is almost a tacit endorsement of the critical analysis of holy books. The second a thorough, in depth series of Quranic analysis is done by a critic I trust, I'll share. The Quran is not only evil and a blatant copy of the Old Testament and a mostly oral tradition started by a war mongering pedophile, but also a good piece of evidence for people just creating religions out of thin air. Mohammed was just an early version of Joseph Smith. Able to have a divine revelation every time it became convenient for him to have one.

I think it is odd for a person to use a book they say is corrupt to quote from it as if the thing they quote has any merrit. Do you understand what I'm saying?
If a person believes the Bible is corrupt, why take anything it says as truth? Why bother quoting from it at all?.
However, I do know thousands of Christians who have been falsy taught by the ones who do misquote it. So many of These propspisty preaches abuse the Bible to make money off it. Like Joel Osteen. He is a false teacher.
So yes, many christains read the Bible like many Muslims do. They pick and choose what verse they like to promote their own way of life
This is why it is vital to read it in its full context. Too easy to make mistakes if you don't read all the instructions correctly.
I learned this lesson the hard way.
While it is sadly true that most Christians have not read their Bible, it does not take away the fact that God is real and one Day everyone will have to give account of their lives to Him, whether they want to or not.

He's commented on the Koran after studying it, and had words about it that ought to make one think and perhaps rely on better works instead for spiritual insight and progress. Compare that view with his views on other scriptures and saintly writings. Google it: Osho Koran. Other greats have come to similar conclusions.
Aman Addis Bart Erhman is not an expert on Islam and doesn’t have a history of Islam, it’s best for him not to talk about Islam as he knows a lot about Christianity but not Islam.

I have debated atheists regarding both the Bible and evolution. I deliberately avoid creationist websites even though they will quote reputable sources. That’s because, rather than admit they were wrong, atheists will reject evidence and proof based on the source.
Yet when I quote scriptures to prove them wrong or quote pro-evolution scientists, they still fabricate lies rather than admit they were wrong. That’s because they all blindly follow and parrot what they are told WITHOUT using logic, reason or common sense.

I do all the time. The Bible requires that Christians PROVE ALL THINGS (1Thessalonians 5:21). They are not to mindlessly swallow everything they are told, but to test those who teach (1John 4:1).

I have done so several times since my teen years. I found the Bible to be very different than what I was expecting. It made God far more real than I ever imagined.
In the Old Testament, God had pleaded with the Israelites (through His prophets) to PROVE HIM and see if He doesn’t do as He promised. Free thinking was required. God made us human - not programmed robots that do as they are told.

Most books in the New Testament were written to correct Christians who had accepted false doctrines and beliefs.
However, once all the original apostles were dead, it became easier to corrupt the church. And just as Jesus predicted, those Christians who held on to the teachings of Christ and the apostles were kicked out of the church and were later persecuted.

Wow this guy's story sounds just like mine. I began to search for the truth! I too was born and raised in christian tradition and church. Glad to see others fighting for the truth.
I was in a similar situation myself.
I grew up as a Catholic Christian and have read the bible several times in my day. I always believed the bible to be Accurate and true although I really never understood parts of it as they did NOT make sense to me. Later on in life, I became the VP of a Christian ministry in my area so I worked closely with the minister.
Now, I have watched many videos on CZcams over the last 2-3 years now which are about the Bible. I have learned much MORE than I really wanted to know at the time but I continued on as I was intrigued so I READ the bible and those questioning comments regarding those verses. Low and behold, the commenters were telling me the TRUTH!
Now I was starting to think I should actually READ the bible with a more critical eye so I did. What I found were many examples of contradictions in the book which I never noticed before. SO I looked some more at CZcams postings to see where such things may lead me and I have found after much research the following observations...
1) IF you believe the bible is literally true and that it IS the Word of GOD, then you MUST also believe that GOD (and his son Jesus) are guilty of Genocide and care more about revenge, blood sacrifices, and bowing down to them in WORSHIP than anything else about humankind.
2) If the bible is the word of GOD (or inspired word) and IF you believe the Word of God NEVER changes and is always true and to be honored as such, then how can you explain this word being CHANGED over the years, and even very recently to mean things totally different than the first time you read them?
For point #2 I am mostly referring to RECENT changes which make no sense at all if you are a Christian (or were one at some point) because these changes seem to be happening regularly at a super natural level from some unknown source and reflect ALL BIBLES NO MATTER HOW OLD THEY ARE...
I have proved this point to myself as I have a couple of very OLD bibles I have read cover to cover and I know for a FACT those bibles never said the things pointed out to me yet there they are plain as day. As a kid I remember my Imam told us missionaries would come and give us Bibles and versions of Abrahamic texts that were not true and to focus on the Jesus depicted by Islam. I’m glad I didn’t need to spend my entire life to come to that conclusion, but I feel bad for the missionaries.

An editor may come back in later and reorder them so they are more proximally chronological and in doing so there is the possibility that they may remove some of the author's original intent.
Thanks so much for your honesty. For me it was the list of "Do's and Don'ts" that made me feel inadequate and further away from God. Finally I decided to leave church, not saying everyone should, but I needed to be uninfluenced and sort myself out.
What I found is that religion says "Fix yourself and God/we will accept you" while the Gospel is supposed to be "Come just as you are and I will give you righteousness/(okayness) as a gift". Religion says "You have to work hard to stay forgiven and right" while the true Gospel is supposed to be: "With a single sacrifice I have made you perfectly accepted and irreversibly forgiven forever". Religion says "God is in love with a future version of you" while the Gospel of Grace is supposed to be: "God loves you as you are right now unconditionally and is NEVER GOING TO CHANGE". It was written thousands of yrs ago, passed down to people who tried to save these copies for our sake, and the way the perspectives or witnesses of writers throughout history are all not exactly repeated or omitted, it shows that the Bible is passed down by people who just repeated the same things and etc.

I think the reason some Christians became atheists is because they believed that they only knew the "truth" & they worry too much about what's gonna happen after u die.

I'm glad in Hinduism we don't focus too much on whats gonna happen after we die. Mostly Hindu preachers (at least the ones I know) focus on creating the earth a place like heaven. This is possible through good Karma.

And Hindus can also be atheists while practicing the principles of Hinduism.

On page 186, the author said, "In fact, Islam encouraging the practice of endowing money or property, called waqf for the purpose of maintaining schools, hospitals and churches. And churches? Wrong! Absolutely wrong! In fact, the concept of waqf means exactly the opposite of what the author described. Waqf means whatever Islam can take over and own is reserved solely for Muslims. One of the purposes of waqf is to destroy churches, not to maintain them. For example, since ISIS took over the north of Iraq, not 1 church has been kept intact. All of them have been totally destroyed. The Pope and the billionaire have been tricked. And don't dare to tell me that ISIS is not Islam or Islam is not ISIS. ISIS is walking in the footsteps of Mohammed and the teaching of Islam.

Muslims do believe that jesus (isa) peace be upon him did exist, we love him as a messenger of the allmighty God, like abraham and moses peace be upon them, but we do not go any further and don't ascribe divinity to him or to any other person/ thing, we don't say he is the son of God.

People have been brainwashed to believe that all religions are basically good and have good intentions. But Islam is not good. Nor does it have good intentions. Islam justifies hatred and violence- as well encourages it. Not that long ago, the Pope states that the Koran is a book of peace and Islam is a peaceful religion. Wrong- absolutely wrong!
On the contrary, it is also psychologically and spiritually damaging to people like myself who had suffered under the Islamic Shariah. A week ago, I read a book called, "Winners Never Cheat." It is written by an American billionaire named John Huntsman. Originally, I thought I would learn from the billionaire's advice and insight into business hoping that I would become a billionaire. To my shock, Islam was mentioned twice in the book. On page 186, the author said, "In fact, Islam encouraging the practice of endowing money or property, called waqf for the purpose of maintaining schools, hospitals and churches. And churches? Wrong! Absolutely wrong! In fact, the concept of waqf means exactly the opposite of what the author described. Waqf means whatever Islam can take over and own is reserved solely for Muslims. One of the purposes of waqf is to destroy churches, not to maintain them. For example, since ISIS took over the north of Iraq, not 1 church has been kept intact. All of them have been totally destroyed. The Pope and the billionaire have been tricked. And don't dare to tell me that ISIS is not Islam or Islam is not ISIS. ISIS is walking in the footsteps of Mohammed and the teaching of Islam.
The world is in denial. These powerful men are supposed to LEAD the majority, yet one cannot recognize the difference between churches and mosques. And the other claims that Islam is a religion of peace. Two very conflicting and contradictory statements. We are in a real dilemma.

I love it when people say, "we don't have the originals." News flash, there were not photocopiers in 1st century Judea, so naturally there were manual copies made. We're supposed to infer that what we have is somehow defective. Well, during the period the Bible was written, scribes were highly-paid professionals whose job it was to make accurate copies! So why as a collective whole does mankind have the most revered text in all human history in the Bible? In 100-years, no one will remember this guy and people will still be reading and embracing the Bible.

Jesus said that in the generation after Israel has returned to their land after the second destruction of their temple that that generation would not pass before his coming. Guess what? They are making the third temple now and Israel became a nation in 1948 after the holocaust. You simply dont understand scripture if that is the kind of thing that you think you know about it. You need to read it cover to cover then you can make the choice to ignore it but jeep in mind that even if it were false the consequences would be nothing compared to the consequences of it being true and you turning away. I can tell you why religions in general are false but I can tell you also that The Way which is Christianity at its roots is not a religion. It is devotional faith and understanding of the scripture in the bible. People that knew Jesus in his day paid the price with their lives(some in torturous manners) for the word to be published by dying in a vast persecution that lasted over 250 years. There are accounts of 500+ people many nonbelievers that saw Jesus after his death walking around. This is well documented and if you search for the evidence of one thing in the bible you will see that there is lots of evidence to substantiate the stories of what occurred in the old testament as well. Look up red sea excavations and see how many bones and chariots that were found on a raised undersead walkway that crosses from egypt into Mecca. That is just one solid piece of evidence. There are so many more.
His sheep know his voice and will follow. As many as believed in him shall be given eternal life. Simply put those who do not have an ear for truth will not follow his voice and the really sad thing is there is so much evidence to back up his claims that you would have to be purposely overlooking evidence to discount the bible.

@ You have literally done 0% to come to that conclusion. There is documentation from multiple non biblical sources to the existance of Jesus and to the existance of king David. Just look into the egyptian findings supporting the crossing of the red sea by Israel. If that is true then the story of Moses is Also true. Also if you did any digging you would find that there were a number of excavations in Mecca that point to the stories in the bible being historically accurate. Documentary after documentary. Assuming that you're an atheist since you make the claim that everything written is a work of fiction how can you trust the word of scientists that could easily have been bought and paid for to produce biased reports? I dont think that you really understand just how hypocritical it is to say these men were fictional but you're willing to have faith in evolution that is largely disproven. Even the thought of natural selection over billions of years wouldn't produce the genetic modifiers in that amount of time to create entirely different life forms not to mention if these creatures were constantly killing one another off there would be even less of a genetic pool to work with in the first place. There are so many holes in the theory that even Darwin had to throw in the towel at the end off his final book and say we just havent found enough fossils to bridge the gap from the first single celled organism to produce the rest life in the specific order of multiplying cells.
