Finding someone with production know how is key if I was to get away from backing track cowrites. The blind leading the blind would drive me crazy. I also want to be prepared to cowrite before a cowriting session was put in front of me.

      Right on dude.
Nothing turns me off more than some blind guy wanting to know what chords I'm playing. Another killer is not having partaken in some righteous bud prior to a writing session. How ya spose to create if your not feeling it right ? All the rest of this guys advice is complete BS man. I mean if someone wants me to show up and spend time listening to their crap I'm gonna dominate that session man. I'm gonna be certain that they know that I'm right and they don't know crap man. If they got stuff to spout out about I'm definitely gonna talk right over and thru every conversation that they mutter til they understand that I'm there and what I say is no doubt correct dude. Oh - they're published and they got to open up for someone big - who cares man ? That time came and it went and right now I'm here in front of you with the perfect answer to your problem so STFU man K ?
BTW - I'm just messing around folks. Every word that was given by Full Circle is valid and as advice for a " wannabe " songwriter is well said and correct .

Do you think in the future you can divide bronze songwriters into two groups. One being hobby part time songwriters and second being professional seeking full time songwriters? That would make finding cowriters easier.

All good advise thanks for sharing, however there are some veteran writers around that do not and will never subscribe to these common sense songwriting principals. Over bearing, heel digging in, show up half drunk, leave early veterans are out there and will suck the life right out of your co-write; just sayin' y'all.
