i love this channel, it shows me almost every car that i want.
I have an S550 Coupe and love it as a BLVD cruiser- but in the Hill country of Texas- this is just a perfect car. Adn if you have Apple Car Play- the "dated" interior is just fine with me. I kind of like the retro look- the new AC controls of Mercedes are a bit weird to me with all those rocker switches so this is nice and old school- perfect empty nester car- or someones contrast to the SUV they have to own. My other car is a Pickup truck - so this is the perfect weekend driver. It needs the right wheel package to look good and would even look better lowered about 20mm not much but would look very cool IMO.
Dunno what converts hes been driving because in my experience the SLK/SLC has been on the lower end of wind buffeting in thr cabin compared to MANY other drop tops.

why this instead the c43? Simply because the SLC is nicer? Simply because I don't need car for 4 people? Simply because I want an agile car? You can't evaluate cars by measure, otherwise every Porsche fan would buy a Panamera instead a 911...
If you think a 4WD convertible C Class and 2WD SLC are essentially the same car, you're not driving the cars anywhere near hard enough. They handle totally differently.

Sorry, but I will always prefer my SLK55 with its wonderful V8. Can't help but smile every time I step on the accelerator.

That's your opinion. I love the sound of a muscle car, and I also like screaming V8s. And obviously you can't read, I said it's slower and of course it's slower because it's an older car! And again slow doesn't mean it's trash!
La Finale Forget it. In my opinion the 55 with his compressor sounds 1000 times better than the newer 4 litre 63 amg. I like the older amgs more than the newer ones! Period! Get it now? If you think fast and new is always better, fine, I don't give a shit.
The new 43s are no amgs, just normal mb engines that got tuned. The 55 is a real AMG, thats fact.

Just got an SLC43 AMG 2017 with very low miles, so brand new really. Enjoying it immensely - the thrust, the sound, the shifts, the cornering. If you're still monitoring this page, could you explain how the one you're driving - with the AMG handling package - would drive differently from mine which is an AMG but does not have LSD or the special AMG branded steering?
Hi. I'm German and I'm considering buying a 5 year old SLC 45 with 16000 miles. Are you still happy with it? How is the fuel consumption? Were there or are there other serious problems?

Fuel consumption is actually really good for an AMG biturbo. I get around 330 miles to a tank and that's with driving in S and S+ quite a bit. In Comfort only, I would get around 390.@@juergeli1
It's the lightest car from Merc at that power...at stage 2 it would be faster than cars you won't believe..and that look..and it's not a uniform like others

I have owned my 2006 SLK350 for 13+ years and love it. Looking to replace someday, and was hoping that Mercedes would refresh the interior in this car, but they stopped making it in 2020. FAIL! This car is perfect for me (72 yo and retired now) and it fits nicely in my garage. I can't find a car I like better for less than $75K. I really like the hardtop better than a ragtop, and that won't change for me. Plus, I never need 4 seats as I don't want to haul anyone around. I am leaning towards the BMW Z4 and the Porsche Boxster 718, but both are ragtops. I might still be driving my 2006 10 years from now.
i owned the slk 200k of 2006 and i really love it.. after so many years it have only 144,000 km and the only problem i have recendly i had to replace the gearbox controler.. i tild to myself that i would sell it only if the roof stop working cause i am affraid the cost of fixing that )
I’m in a similar position. I’ve owned SLK’s since 1998, and my current car is a 2014 SLK 350. Like you, I was expecting them to upgrade the model, but the SLC doesn’t really offer any improvement over what I’ve got. Also, the SLC 43 is about twice the price of the SLC 300 from the same year, and I can’t convince myself it’s worth it. But I love the V6 engine on my 350, and don’t really want to downgrade to a four-cylinder engine on the SLC 300. Like you, I’ll probably just keep it forever.

lmfao, at 6:20 I feel like theres a mistake. If the exhaust is active, as it is, how could the pops and cracks possibly be fake? Because then you mention how it all goes away or how you can “turn it all off” by switching to comfort. Well of course the exhaust isn’t going to pop when it’s closed…
they're real, produced by the engine but programed into the ecu purposely just for fun, not actually natural to that engine.
V6 engines pop naturally up to 4 times when hot you dont need all that extra crap...i know i had 4 nissan v6
