Large crowds braved the frigid temperatures in Saskatchewan on Tuesday to show their support as the “Freedom Convoy” rolled through on its way to Ottawa.
Hundreds of truckers have joined the convoy to protest the government’s vaccine mandate for cross-border truckers.
One expert says attitudes about COVID-19 restrictions are beginning to shift as the pandemic drags on, with a growing number of Canadians becoming frustrated with curtails on their freedom. Ian Duffy reports.

There’s no amount of apologies or reparations the gov and all complicit can offer for us to be satisfied. Harakiri is the only acceptable offering at this point for the generational damage they’ve caused. I'd at least be able to understand the rationale if the vaccine prevented people from spreading the virus, but it doesn't do that. The vaccine can reduce the chances of serious disease and for that reason it is worthy of an individual's consideration. But neither the potency of the virus (It's real, but it's not airborne ebola) nor the efficiency of the vaccine warrant destroying our nation or any other.

I started this video wanting to be angry at the truckers. I make my living by shipping product across Canada and the USA. These continued transportation delays and price gouging are killing us. That said, after watching only a few moments of this video my attitude has changed. I stand with these drivers as they are fighting for the bigger picture. We need to get our economy back to normal and we need our freedom back.
Thank you for that. It's the mandates imposed on so many workers as well as unreasonable quarantine rules causing the disruptions. It's on the governments, not the people.

Truckers are doing this for us all and they deserve our full respect. Without truckers our store shelves will be emptier than they already are. Here on Vancouver Island our pharmacy has already had serious supply issues these past 2 months leading to many out of stocks, for instance right now our cough syrups, 20 linear feet of shelf space is getting scary empty and we may run out, we had no distilled water for 6 weeks for people's night time breathing machines...we need truckers, we need to ditch these authoritarian mandates and let people get back to living.

It is pretty clear now that either their negligence and gross incompetence shines a light on how useless they are or they literally do not care about anything and anyone, doing the run around to save face when an event forces them to. Either way, a lot of Canadians have enough of how things work here.
