😂😂😂 this is my first time I've ever seen dog can dive like he said he's like a professional diver
in the late 1990s I had a little 45lb female pitbull I named Solange. She dove to the bottom of a pond I took her to and picked up a brick and brought it to the shore and chewed on it. yet she never showed much aptitude for regular swimming, guess she just liked to dive for bricks?
There are dog breeds that are bred in particular for this purpose.
Lagotto is one of them.
Fishermen use them to pick up gear that they drop in to the water.
I’ve seen one dog on Dodo who can dive too. But this other dog dives for rocks at the bottom of lakes and streams.

Amazing! Initially afraid of and confused in the water, then suddenly a skilled swim diver. Chief is like a human who was afraid of heights, then realized they could FLY and loved it.

PLEASE make this a book! The first thing I thought when I saw that dog diving... That might help someone overcome fear of water. And then he said he was always terrified of scuba diving (me too), but now he's certified. But I really love the poetic way he describes the dog swimming like a seal. "He's just sitting there gracefully. Spiraling down. Spinning around. Like a harbor seal, on the way down.".

"I had to get certified in scuba to keep up with him.". True confessions! He holds his breath underwater 25 seconds. This is the most unusual example of a dogs athletic ability ever - maybe he should have his own Olympic event???
This dog is on the next evolutionary tangent… he must know when to hold his breath in order to dive so deep.. that means he is intelligent and can plan ahead.. animals interaction with humans are making them smarter, while humans are getting dumber… true..😏

He actually is the best diver in the world. He needs those hard rubber sinking toys that won't chip his teefs.
He’s got a ton!! But for whatever reason, he will lose them so easily and just resort to pretty much anything else. Pool filters, leaves, bricks, logs, tree branches, hardened soil, mulch- anything scattered in a backyard.

I've met this dog and the owners - I asked the same thing and they clean his ears out with a proper solution from the vet.

Amazing! That is super cool your dog like he’s having a blast! Just be cautious of your dog getting water intoxication. It’s called hyponatremia. If he is playing for not too long it should be fine but if your playing with him for awhile that’s when you should be cautious. All that being said your dog is just living his best life. 🥰👍🏻

I do that! I throw cans full of sand in the lake and dive down to get them. It's so much fun, and I'm 61. Water is cool!!😊

About 40 years ago My friend Dave in Romford had a dog called Samantha who was exactly like this, diving to the very bottom of deep pools and also climbimg actual ladders up onto the roof and running about, jumping from roof to roof and backing herself back down the ladder just like a person.. she was a golden blonde border collie. Lovely animal

He’s following his ancestors lead! Look up the history of Labrador retrievers - they used to dive and get stones from the bottom of the English Channel, I believe, when sportsman brought them over from Newfoundland. Such sweet little seal pups ❤

I had a German Shorthair as a boy that would go into a muddy ditch with 4 and 5 foot of water after softball size rocks and recover them every time.
He couldn't see in this water so we wanted to make sure he was retrieving the same rock and painted one. Whatever rock we tossed in he would retrieve the same one.
Golden retrievers are half breeds of the tweed water spaniel. That's why some of them are such good swimmers

This is not cute what his owner is doing for views . Incredibly dangerous . One wrong moment of panic or something unexpected under water that long and he could start inhaling /swallowing water . But people love attention . 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

I know right, its ridiculous. Not to mention all those owners who allow their dogs to go outside where any number of things can kill them, or to play with other pets with all that can happen. While we are on the subject of pitfalls you know people who allow their pets to even wonder around inside their homes outside a pet carrier where there are untold dangers with edged items or things that can tip over. While being fed food that isn't pureed semi-solids which they can choke on. Just horrible people all around.
@@aaronhoy3410 you haven’t proven anything with your sarcasm . There are some things you can reasonably Control, and other things that can be a total surprise and often times not completely predictable or avoidable. You obviously feel to see the difference between the two.

I've met this dog - he's is the sweetest puppers ever! He lives to dive that's for sure. He was in two shelters before finding his forever home with this family. He is living an amazing life now that's for sure.
