In the episode where Gong dueled the X-Sabre guy (forgot his name, apologies) he questioned how Gong could Normal Summon his Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei in Defense Position without Setting it. Gong replied with it had the effect to be Normal Summoned in Defense face-up.

Factory of 100 Machines does actually have synergy with 1 card in the archetype. Unfortunately the effect still sucks and that one monster is Gadget Hauler... So here's how it goes 1. You use Gadget Hauler's effect to dump a bunch of Morphtronic cards from your hand to the graveyard. 2. Activate Factory of 100 Machines to banish the monsters you just discarded as well as any that were already in the graveyard. 3. Fail to do anything relevant with your attack boost. 4. Lose the duel because Gadget Hauler gets blown up by any form of removal and you dumped a load of resources on its effect.
Morphtronics would really benefit from a continuous spell that allowed them to change their battle positions more. Something like. 'When this card is activated, add one morphtronic card from your deck to your hand. Morphtronic monsters can change their battle position the turn their enter the field, and up to three times that turn' the three is just because I wanted morphtronic cord and map to be useful.
Name: "Morphtronic Switchboard" Type: Continuous Spell Card Effect: When this card is activated: You can add 1 "Morphtronic" monster or 1 "Gadget" monster from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn, if a "Morphtronic" and/or "Gadget" monster(s) is Normal or Special Summoned to your field (except during the Damage Step): You can change the battle position of that monster(s). You can only activate 1 "Morphtronic Switchboard" per turn.
For those of you who like a good story: A few months after this deck came out (late 2009/early 2010?), I went to a local yugioh tournament with my friend, who ran morphtronics. Towards the end of the tournament he got paired against this guy who ran an exodia deck. The guy lost the first game because morphtronic smash and grab tactics back then were top tier. The guy had 4 pieces of exodia, and checked the top card of his deck and found the last piece. He was pretty aggravated but continued onto the next game. He held up a little better with some sideboard options (what little there was), but ultimately failed again. I checked his hand. 4 pieces. He looks at the top card. The last piece was there. He immediately starts crying and demanding his participation pack so he could leave. To this day, I've never seem him in a tournament or near conventions, so I was always afraid to poke to much fun at him because I thought he committed suicide after that and I didn't want to hurt his poor damaged soul.......but then I just remember how he lost and I start laughing.
Quasartronics have always been one of my favorite decks to play casually, you either make an amazing field or bore your opponent to death (or both). I guess we'll now have to adapt a bit with links, but it's never going to be the same as before. Anyway, best RNG deck ever.

Jack Smith why not the new Archfiend dragons? Scarlight is amazing and can be revived by the effect of R D A King Calamity. All 3 boss monster synchros if the Red Dragon Archfiend series don't require and Synchro tuners, just any two tuners that add to that level needed. It would also be easier to summon using life stream as a tuner but you would need to a boarden or non-tuner level 2 or 3
As far as i can tell even Decode Talker can't get past Red Nova Dragon with his effect as he cannot be destroyed by card effects and his attack is too high.
My suggestions for following episodes Trickstars: A rare case of a viable burn deck Frogs: Can't wait for the Toadally Awesome segment Darklord: Beast in Link format, combined with Kristya
I honestly don't think Trickstar is a burn deck. It's more of a combo OTK/stun deck (or, at least, OTK if you play Eater of Millions) which allows you to activate Sparks from outside the Deck, when the conditions are met.
For the cards that list Schrodinger's cards (like the Spell/Trap searcher when they have no traps; or the "level 4 or lower" summoner), it's probably futureproofing. As we've seen with Cyberdark and a few other archetypes, they could very well revisit and add new support, which is good for the Trap searcher and adds the condition to the summoning card.
I just noticed something....Magnen Bar is that super cannon you see in a Sentai show! No wonder the other monsters can't attack and all Magnen's attack effect is just big numbers.
Meh, as long as you have decent swarming you can use a lot of generic link monsters pretty easily, then you can splash in Rescue Ferret for more spamming. I've been trying to work Fabled monsters into Links and it actually works decently, though a lot of my synchro plays are to draw more cards, then summon the 3000 attack link 4 dragons.
Actually, I think Blackwings are one of the few Synchro decks that have actually survived the new format. They can search Gofu, which is pretty broken, and Hawk Joe means that the EMZ isn't too restrictive.
I actually used cameran in a lock down anti synchro deck and won a few locals with it. Two camerans and two boardons with morphtronic map was potent back in the day.
26:38 Fun Fact: like Geartown, this card can combo with Magical Hats. If your opponent attacks a Morphtronic Map set as a monster, the effect kicks in. If your opponent stop the attack, Magical Hats will destroy it kicking its effect.
My favorite Hats target is Ojamagic, I'll take that side of +5 with my blocking 3 of your attacks this turn, spamming Flip effects, and other such degeneracy. 😎
The only use I could think of for life stream dragon is using it as tribute for Phantasmal Lord Ultimitl Bishbaaki (no clue if that's right) aka ultimaya tzolkin who comes out swinging with 10000 attack
I think Morphtronics were inspired by Micro Change, a Japanese transforming robot toyline from Takara that was among those that Takara and Hasbro brought to the international market as the very first Transformers toys.
You know what morphtronic's need? A viable spell card that allow you to change their battle position once per turn per target. Like either a continues spell and/or a field spell. And how about some more boss monsters instead of just power tool dragon and/or life stream dragon. Also make them searchable. Their recovery isn't reliable enough and they're too slow. Also some new support over all to speed and beef them up. What so you think?

But was Exodia an Archetype when it was first released? Cuz I remember that, technically, the first archetype was Gaia the Fierce Knight, but it wasn't technically an archetype until years later.

In the anime, Lantron had an additional effect. When your life points drops to zero, it'll light up the squares around the lens in a circle, if it lands on (green I think) bring the players life points back to 100.
I used radion to win a competition at anime central using an equip deck. It was amazing. I can’t remember the names of the cards but I remember what it added up too in the final round I won first turn. I ended up having 5500 attack with him and he could attack 2 times directly. They didn’t set any traps or anything running a frog deck. It was amazing

I've been testing Morphtronic with Link and I thinkit has legit potential. Morph can spam monsters so hard and they easily make a ton of link monsters + Crystalwing. It really helps deal with their lack of good non-tuners by giving them good stuff to summon with just the tuners. It helps that Linkuriboh is easy to summon and puts Celfon in grave for JunkBox and Morphtronic repair.
I have an idea about the magnet monsters. One side is positive the other is negative like real magnets, thats all i got and even if thats the reason its still dumb

This is one my favorite archetypes of all time. The fact that celfon and smartfon are the playmakers of the decks wich are luck base incarnated in a card, they make the challenge to make quasar + generic synchros are very fun and challenging deck to try to do every duel conscistenly. Sadlh the quasar build has suffer a lot with the link format but they are really an archetype that will have a good place in my heart for the rest of my life.
I actually like Vacuumen at 3 in Machine Duplication Morphtronics as an alternative target to the staple targets in a Morphtronic Deck. I Normal Summon a Vacuumen, Dupe it to bring out two more in Defense Position, remove 2 of the opponent's monsters, then make a Rank 1 Xyz or a Link 3 Link-and that's with no other cards on the Field. :3
Why... Why did Konami release Life Stream without its Level manipulation effect? The one thing that made it viable was the one they removed. I mean, it's not like Gagaga friggin' Magician came out a few months later or anything.

Zexal even let you do it. I think even Arc-V had it as well. It’s really only the actual game where it’s a problem.

Fun Fact: like Geartown, this card can combo with Magical Hats. If your opponent attacks a Morphtronic Map set as a monster, the effect kicks in. If your opponent stop the attack, Magical Hats will destroy it kicking its effect.
My favorite Hats target is Ojamagic, I'll take that side of +5 with my blocking 3 of your attacks this turn, spamming Flip effects, and other such degeneracy. 😎

I think Morphtronics were inspired by Micro Change, a Japanese transforming robot toyline from Takara that was among those that Takara and Hasbro brought to the international market as the very first Transformers toys.

You know what morphtronic's need? A viable spell card that allow you to change their battle position once per turn per target. Like either a continues spell and/or a field spell. And how about some more boss monsters instead of just power tool dragon and/or life stream dragon. Also make them searchable. Their recovery isn't reliable enough and they're too slow. Also some new support over all to speed and beef them up. What so you think?

I've been hoping for Morphtronics since I found you channel in early April, they're my favorite archetype.
It took me rewatching this video to realize that "Factory of 100 Machines" is probably a reference to the "Parade of 100 Demons"

Morphtronics are still one of my favourite decks and I wanted them to be done so badly, I guess it's my lucky day.
And years later during the Link era, they release a similar archetype used by a maid robot.

But was Exodia an Archetype when it was first released? Cuz I remember that, technically, the first archetype was Gaia the Fierce Knight, but it wasn't technically an archetype until years later.

In the anime, Lantron had an additional effect. When your life points drops to zero, it'll light up the squares around the lens in a circle, if it lands on (green I think) bring the players life points back to 100.
Imagine the anime having some kind of bullshit extra stuff to make the heroes not lose!

I used radion to win a competition at anime central using an equip deck. It was amazing. I can’t remember the names of the cards but I remember what it added up too in the final round I won first turn. I ended up having 5500 attack with him and he could attack 2 times directly. They didn’t set any traps or anything running a frog deck. It was amazing

This is my fav archatype man and u made it mine thanks i wanted to play it after this vid and i loved it
I've been testing Morphtronic with Link and I thinkit has legit potential. Morph can spam monsters so hard and they easily make a ton of link monsters + Crystalwing. It really helps deal with their lack of good non-tuners by giving them good stuff to summon with just the tuners. It helps that Linkuriboh is easy to summon and puts Celfon in grave for JunkBox and Morphtronic repair.
I have an idea about the magnet monsters. One side is positive the other is negative like real magnets, thats all i got and even if thats the reason its still dumb

This is one my favorite archetypes of all time. The fact that celfon and smartfon are the playmakers of the decks wich are luck base incarnated in a card, they make the challenge to make quasar + generic synchros are very fun and challenging deck to try to do every duel conscistenly. Sadlh the quasar build has suffer a lot with the link format but they are really an archetype that will have a good place in my heart for the rest of my life.
I actually like Vacuumen at 3 in Machine Duplication Morphtronics as an alternative target to the staple targets in a Morphtronic Deck.
I Normal Summon a Vacuumen, Dupe it to bring out two more in Defense Position, remove 2 of the opponent's monsters, then make a Rank 1 Xyz or a Link 3 Link-and that's with no other cards on the Field. :3

Why... Why did Konami release Life Stream without its Level manipulation effect? The one thing that made it viable was the one they removed. I mean, it's not like Gagaga friggin' Magician came out a few months later or anything.
But Gagaga Magician CANNOT be used for a Synchro Summon. (Neither can Caesar, for that matter…)
I was referring more to how Gagaga Magician can change its Level to anything from 1 to 8, but that is true.
