Y'all know many of these roads look terrifying because of camera angles. My hats off to the camera guys.
Would not travel on any of these…but found very interesting. Thank you.
bro wouldn't go the Amalfi Coast💀
0:20 ... This bridge is not anywhere near as terrifying as it seem to be in the photo. This effect is caused by someone taking a picture with a telephoto lens from a far distance away from the bridge. If you look at the bridge from the water (from a right angle, it had a rater gentle slope to the top of maybe about 5 or 6 degrees.
I was going to say that. I live about thirty minutes away from that bridge. The reality of it is that it is rather mundane.
I just love it when I get that pop up saying "Someone has liked your comment" or "Someone has subscribed!" It makes my day! Happy 2022😍
Such great history and archive of humans' effort toward the permanent progress of significant infrastructures. The accomplishments surely exceed the size of dreams they had in childhood.
That was delightful😉
OH HELL NO DANGERIOUS BRIDGES HE'LL NO WHAT WAS THEY THINKING 😱
Great work 👍🥇
#7 is beautiful
Whoops, there’s Mt. Evans, Pikes Peak, Independence Pass, Royal Gorge Bridge all in Colorado and Highway 550 in southwest Colorado. The Rio Grande bridge in New Mexico
Forth Road Bridge in winter. Never ending problems, disasters, breakdowns and issues. Thanks to the shoddy SNP for that one
Cars are a great natural selection tool
Fast n Furious autobahn...Part 1 million....I would so watch this!
I didn't know there are African villages along the Mekong in Vietnam! Learn something new every day.
I read that there are many Africans in Vietnam.
@@jdm9700 Where did you read that? There are few Africans, especially blacks, in Vietnam and they do not live in villages in the Mekong Delta.
15:09, ok now what? Lol
Wow. Crazy bridges indeed.
Ghana 🇬🇭 west Africa
15 looks cool
I'm not afraid of heights, can do ziplines just fine, but I am terrified of falling to my death
I would actually love to do the canopy one
Whoever designed these Bridges are nuts roller coaster City anyone
Yer, some entries are idiotic. Tourist hotspot in California.......really, it's no tighter and steeper than you average multideck car park, dam sight more beautiful though. Lot of the world's most dangerous roads are right here in Western Australia. We got one called the Gunbarrel highway, 1,350km or 840mi of desert track. Requirement to drive it, a team of at least 2 Toyota Landcruiser utes, with extra tanks of diesel fuel on the back and drivers with serious off road experience. What gets people in the Australia outback is being 100s of kms away from anything at all, including fresh water, mobile phone reception and any kind of help..
Vermont Street in San Francisco is just as curvy, and has one more curve, too. It's not as famous as Lombard street, because it's in back of San Francisco General Hospital, and the view isn't very pretty.
Well, what can I say - quite a few of the roads and bridges shown, very few of us will ever be on them. However, calling 5 or 6 % a rollercoaster drive is much blown out of proportion. Also, how some of those videos are taken will show unbelievable grades.
I was looking to see if someone had commented on this. Forced perspective makes things look so much more distorted than they really are. :39 is the perfect example. It makes 5% grade look like 45% :D
I once fell from a bridge. No, I fell with the bridge about 30 m below. I was saved by a dolphin.
Wow! What happened?
Gravel ? Showing bitumen road. Lombard st is easy, there are lot more scary roads in SF. Coast hwy is great to drive. Autobahn has no limits for different classes ? Nonsense, cars have no limit, but trucks, towing vehicles, buses etc have strict limits. Also safest roads in the world.
Lots of Misinformation here has well
@@JohnSmithoriginal1????
@@jantschierschky3461 no no I don't mean your comment brather...! . I mean these videos on CZcams are filled with misinformation and stuff.
@@JohnSmithoriginal1 ok just making sure
@@jantschierschky3461 I understand.
Oh hell nah ..
WHO BUILT THE DAMN THINGS THEY ARE THE REAL MASTERS OF FEAR!!!!
Is Rick Leone related to Brad Leone?
Im from Germany and I’m using the Autobahn daily. A LOT of misinformation here. First how can you compare a gravel mountain road with an infrastructure that’s maintained by billions of euros each year. Second there is an increase of speed limits. Third even if you can drive as fast as you want to in some places doesn’t mean everyone does so.
Agreed. I was stationed in Germany for 3 years, and I found the autobahn to be very safe compared to the rickety bridges and hairpin turn mountain roads! As long as you don't act stupid, you're just as safe on the autobahn as you are on any other major highway in the rest of the world.
My experience on the Autobahn is also not in line with this video. There is no speed limit, because vehicles are limited to their performance and tire specifications. If you drive faster than your car mechanically should be going, you get heavily fined, ticketed, and can lose your license. Driving in Germany is very much considered to be a privilege, not a right like it appears in the US. Highway Patrol heavily enforce the Autobahn and the laws that make it so safe to drive on. The only aspect of it I can say is more dangerous than say the Interstate System in the US is that the Autobahn goes directly through towns and cities without separated or divided highways, it's very reminiscent of US Highways that predated the Interstate which was inspired by US Troops utilizing the system in WW2. These zones are also where they step down from Unlimited to 120km/h, to 70km/h, and down as you pass through a town. You are able to just pull off into a corner store or Gasthaus directly from the Autobahn, no interchanges.
All of the money in the world doesn’t mean a road can’t be scary.
@@bellenber Sorry, but you are completely wrong about the Autobahne going through towns and cities. That might have been so almost a hundred years ago, but these days, Autobahne go around towns and cities, are very much separated from other roads and there is no going to a Gasthaus or anything else without getting OFF of it. The only thing you can access on modern Autobahne are rest stops that are very much like thw truck stops in the US, with convenience stores, restaurants, gas station, and other coveniences for long-time travelers.
If you thought you were going through a town, then chances are, the Autobahn tapered off into a so called Schnellstraße (speed street) and then even further down to a Landstraße (countryside street) LONG before it ever reached that town.
@@bellenberIt’s not a right here. It’s more a privilege too but there is much less training and knowledge needed to acquire a drivers license. A CDL is another story same with a motorcycle. But in General it’s easy to do because it all comes down to money. If you make it easy for someone to get a license then they can now go somewhere and spend money. It’s all about dollar.
Driving them roads is a breeze, building them mountain roads is the hard part. I feel for them guys, the hard slog of road building in mountains with hand tools.
The 12th appears to be good for hill reps.
I've seen this video on other channels almost same order
No place for brake failure!
The bridge in Meghalaya, India is not terrifying at all. If anything, they are very beautiful and pretty safe
Fun fact Magician Chris Angel drove down Lombard St. Blindfolded with a passenger as well. Mind Freak!! Love his work. What about the Pikes Peak race every year? Mostly gravel road climbing the side of Pikes Peak, some parts are paved but, deadly dangerous under normal conditions, but closed during the race. As these speed junkies race up the mountainside at as close to full speed as they can manage. Watch it sometime! The handmade tree bridges are FANTASTIC, BEAUTIFUL uses of natural resources and talent! I admire their skill in construction and dedication to keep them maintained! I was stationed in Germany in the early 80's, and I have driven the Autobahn. There actually is a speed limit on there, its 320km per hour, which is approx. 220 miles per hour. My experiences driving the Autobahn were really HAIRY to say the least, I've almost been run over several times, and when I was there the average accident was/were at least 16 cars per accident. After driving it the first time I completely believed that the average should be WAY higher than that.
Gonna be a NO for me dawg
Habt ihr den Arsch offen die Autobahn auf Nummer 2 zu setzten?
Also ich als Deutscher rege mich Tier auf.
Das ist ja wohl eine riesen Frechheit.
Wenn dann sollten wir auf Platz 1. sein.
Lol
👍👍👍
Does anybody know the name of the scary high bridge in Florida..?
The Sunshine Skyway Bridge?
While on average your little quips and insights are amusing and I guess likely help with the popularity of this channel, I think you do more harm than benefit by throwing in these little snippets which seem to often contain incorrect or exaggerated information.
I went down a mountain road that was barely wide enough for my car. There was a mountain on the left, steep cliff in the right, and no guard rails. It was a terrifying, hash turns, but fun, road in South Carolina. I can't find it again, no name. I want to go down it again.
My favorite is the bridge In Japan, the one that looks like the cars are defying gravity and driving straight down nose first.
Reminds me of an Hot Wheels track I had way back in the day, glad to know one of them was inspired by reality and in the same country nonetheless.
わしゃ~ベタ踏み坂に二回
That bridge in Japan is pretty scary imagine if it also snowed in that area and the bridge becomes slippery.
Lol at no 10. What Africa guy build bridge in Vietnam
For americans like me: 432kph = 268mph
Hell Yeah!! We do that in our sleep and we race sprint cars 🚘 🏁🏎🏁🏳️🇺🇸😂😂
Who one earth would wanna go to the middle east?
The guy sound like the guy off of simple history
there are over 14,000km of autobahn. you are reading old research material?
addedly there are far more stretch of the autobahn with lane limits then without. so your claim is wrong.
Oh maigat
As much as they want to be, Tibet is not a country, not yet at least.
No thanks to all of these…
Yo
Nice your first
I live in Germany and the Autobahn is a part of my daily life. I feel safer driving it than I do most US highways... And that thing about 70% of it not having speed limits? No. Just no. Might have been that way in the olden days, but now, that only applies to the straightest parts. And as you could see in the video, those are rare and far between.
And besides... most of us have more sense than to drive like maniacs!

Most bridges are completely normal and safe. But some bridges in the world don't seem to look like they offer protection and safety.
number 1..really? dude, your number 15 is baloney. the bridge in florida should be your number 1. that fooking thing is actually scary.
Why do you feel the need for clickbait?
Are you that desperate?

Please Stop using only the metric system when talking about distances and heights and so on. I don’t live in Europe, don’t know how far a kilometer is. If you want to use the metric system please use both . That would be much appreciated. Good videos though.
So every American video will put both measures on so all Europeans can understand too?
