Plus last time Denmark won (2013, I think?) the song, Teardrops sung by Emilie DeForest, was the most freaking beautiful thing I'd ever heard. I don't care how it's structured as long as it's an original song competition instead of people singing other people's songs. It would be instantly better than any other talent show because we get to hear new songs rather than old ones. If I wanted to hear old songs I'd listen to the professional that 9 times out of 10 is way better than an amateur, it never made sense to me.

They also did a lot to make the good things shine. Like very silent and little music to let her voice shine. And always putting her in the center of attention in front of everybody else. Also they had little things going on in the performance so that we are concentrated towards the music.

Strange. Eurovision 2019 has so many ballads, they are good, but nothing special. "Only teardrops" is the definition of what it means special. Meaningful lyrics, unique melody and full of feelings. I got chills.

This is one of those rare Eurovision-winning pop songs that has actual balls and is worth listening to over and over again. Denmark chose correctly in 2013 and "Only Teardrops" is one of the top ten best Eurovision winning songs out there.
