You hit it right on the spot. I have been working tirelessly to heal the c-PTSD I was diagnosed with due to horrible childhood experiences. I was at a loss, mother abandoned me right at the beginning of COVID when I wanted to sue my stepfather for what he did. And it destroyed me... Fast forward to today, even the things that used to trigger me, no longer has that effect. Flashbacks, no matter how explicit, no longer have power over me. I still feel sad and cry at the tragedy of what I had to go through as a kid, but it no longer takes my power away, rather it empowers me and give myself confidence for having gone this far.
