Hi this is my truest path of self improvement and mental physical therapy
There seem a lot to be reproductions on canvas these days. They have all the marks of an original painting. How do you differentiate those? Ty!
Hi thank you so much for sharing your experience with us and very helpful and God bless you and your family
Thank you for the tips!
The content of this video doesn’t reflect what the title suggests.

question: how often is a reproduction oil painting created on a wooden board. I found a still life and believe it was painted by an artist but not sure if its old, new or a reproduction of another persons work.... what can or should I look for?
Thank you
Thanks for the video! I have come across two identical paintings (both oil on canvas, one framed, one unframed) both claiming to be originals of a mid-century American artist. I love the piece but don't know how to tell which, if either, is the original. One is being sold directly by the owner and the other I found in an antique store. Any tips? I don't want to upset either the owner or store manager by impugning they are selling a fake, but clearly both can't be original. Help!
Do you know anything about The Emerson Collection? I obtained a scenic painting with a signature of Emerson. No first or last initial. It has all the bullet points you mentioned. Also has a piece of paper attached to the back. Explains how it was selected as part of a collection.
Hey there I’m new at this and need advice. Bought at a garage sale 2 framed 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 framed floral arrangements signed at the bottom Viv (Vivian Flasch I assume). They are behind glass sign at the bottom Viv no numbers. They are textured with some material forming a flower on cardboard where the flower sticks out it’s not paint. Is this original?

The artist name is IRENE COX, and her paintings resemble painting by Robert Cox. I cannot find any information on her, but some of her paintings are on EBAY. Have you heard of this artist? If so, can you please share this info? Thank you very much!

They can print a copy on canvas with giclee printer, it is very common, it sprays the ink so there are no dots when magnified, the ink tends to soak in the canvas more than if it was brushed

Sometimes painting depending on detail and if what the painting is of is popular at the time of selling can still pull a few bucks even if its a well known artist. I sold an oil painting of a spin of the " Fox Hunt" a few months ago for 400 bucks it was just signed nathan but it was well done on board and by the frame if i had to guess late 1800s to early 1900s so just depends i probably could of git more if i was more patient but i got lucky and snagged it fir 15 bucks originally
One easy way is to heat nacho cheese up, and drip it in the painting. If it is a valuable original, the cheese will turn differt colors due to the paint melting. If it is a fake, the cheese can be wiped off, and no color change.

I have 2pieces of art I got in a house we bought one is of a boy called blue and the other is a girl named pinkie they look to have been framed by a professional the frames are even old. I did however find the same painting on line and they where done in I believe in the 1700's it gave the artist name but my question is how do I tell what if anything at all are they worth ?
Tammy Williams, they seem to be copies of famous paintings by British Master Thomas Gainsborough. The originals are in museums.
I bought a painting now I know it's a painting after watching your video. Having said this I would like to know more about this painting problem is I can't read the name, I would also like to know the name of this painting how can someone find out? I have a Te rerioa pic but doesn't look like paint strokes how can i tell
I found a original art work done by R.Boren only reason why I know who he is because that's the guy who was on PBS channel right I'm sure this one is real but I can't believe it was just next to a dumpster I saw similar painting but this one wasn't on the internet could this be a fake but all u said checks out.
It seems like an original painting looks different than a painting that's printed painting. Usually an original will have brush strokes and it will look original. And a lot of times a reprint will look like it was reprinted. But not all the time.
So, to make a long story short: ask an expert!!
I have the painting " screen" not sure if it is real. What should I do?

Hi
oh dear, yes! Limited edition prints were the thing. Also Dali, especially the later years. Would not touch with a ten foot pole. Throw in the work by these lovely ladies, just because there are brush strokes, make sure they are all over the painting. The lovely Thomas Kincade has lots of people thinking they have "Original art" but it's just a few brush strokes OVER a painting. Having worked in a gallery, so many hopefuls with these slightly touched reproductions "But I can SEE the brush strokes!"czcams.com/video/z2R6gcGuNTE/video.html
Hey it could be or it could not be?? It could either have or have not?? No shit
Having a piece of art behind glass doesn’t signify if it’s original or not. That only applies if it’s an oil or acrylic painting. A lot of graffiti artists & street artists do work on paper or watercolor, & those are always behind glass. I have a few originals that are behind glass.
