It's somewhere in between, yeah, it's got hardcore beats rather than those heavier hardstyle drum kicks and it's slower, but it still sounds like hardcore. Still good!

well considering todays hardstyle which is mostly euphoric and no more reverse bass it doesnt sound like hardstyle anymore . but yeah you re right this isnt happyhardcore it doesnt have those piano melodies nor the high pich voices like nightcore and happyhardcore rarrly had hard kicks it was just a faster and cheesier version of eurodance

Ever listened to Billx? (a French DJ who began with mostly Hardtek) He did 3 songs lastly that are in this vibe, he calls it HardtoPsy or PsytoHard ^^
First one: Kutsoto Magere (where hardcore and psy coexist in the song)
Second one: Tree of Life (imo the most resulted, it's more a mix between the genre than the first)
Third one: Pagan Totem (the 2nd and 3rd were out at the same time, they are similar in the form but he tried different things in both).

For happy hardcore check out the radio singles of charly lownoise and mental theo, dune, party animals, scott brown, scooter.
