How come this particular car sounds so awsome. I have recently driven a carburated 308 gts from 78. It was a usmodel. I didnt sound any good. The car in this video sounds fantastic. Does it have a speciel exhaust or what.
I don't think so. Looks like a pure and original Ferrari to me. But there are some differences between american and european 308, such as lower compression rate, and therefore, lower horsepower. Also, the exaust looks different in the US model.
For a carbureted 308, this is to allow the fuel pump to fill the four Weber bowls. I run my pump for 15 seconds and apply three quick accelerator blips to allow a direct shot of fuel from the accelerator pumps into the carburetors. 1978 308 GTS
Sounds great with a tubi exhaust, it's a QV also with the steering and center console!
