Hi, we’re Gladys and Kenny, we always had a passion for traveling. We finally made our dreams a reality. In 2019, we sold everything and left to travel the world full-time. It wasn’t a simple decision to leave our friends and family. However, you only live once and we didn’t want to live with any regrets.

Just watching you guys “destroy” Bolivian food makes me hungry. Steak in a bag, soup in a bag looks delicious. Sometimes the best food are from the simple vendors as you guys made obvious. I’m glad Gladys didn’t handle the bag of soup the way she handles the Saltania. Lol

Great video! When I visited Bolivia a few years ago I enjoyed their food. My favorite is the sopa de mani! The portion are huge!

Esa salteña estaba muy dura,a veces encuentras salteñas mas deliciosas en puestos de la calle que en locales, y hay que saber la técnica para comerlas, se empieza abriendo una punta y bebiendo su liquido, buen vídeo y ustedes siempre alegres y positivos, saludos

Yay! I was hoping you guys did a food tour video! What a great day trying all that food. My favorite was breakfast! That looked so yummy and the grab and go is my thing because I am always on the go. Gladys I can’t believe that happened with the Saltena, glad you didn’t get burned.I can’t believe the huge portion that was served for dinner. That would be enough for about 4 people! Awesome food tour video!!
Hey Around The World, we decided last minute and we are glad we did. We had a good time filming this video. Breakfast was Kenny's favorite meal. It was a cool experience. OMG, I wasn't expecting the Saltena to burst open. It was hot but not hot enough to burn me thank goodness. These portion sizes were too big. What we did was have the restaurant split the food into 4 containers and we gave it away to the homeless. So at least the food did not go to waste. Thanks for watching!

Hi Girl World Traveler, The food was yummy. I really enjoyed the neighborhood of Sopocachi. We end up staying in that neighborhood for a week and loved it. The murals, restaurants, and cafes nearby were awesome. I recommend staying in that neighborhood when visiting. Glad to hear you are enjoying our Bolivian Series. We are really loving the country and can't understand why it's underrated when it has so much to offer. Yes, we are leaving La Pa and getting ready to go to Uyuni 😊

My mother lived in that building where you ate the steak and platanos in the park. Pro tip, you start a saltena at the tip. Sip the gravy and work your way down, no fork. You should have went with the beef. The sweetness and the spicy is the best part. My aunt made the best caldo de mani. You should have tried a grill player for dinner. Grilled meat including my favorite, blood sausage. The best, spread on a piece of bread, oh my. Loved the video. Thanks for showing me a part of La Paz that I miss so much.

I'm obsessed with your Bolivia series! you have have such a great energy and Glady's is so bubbly. I loved eating at the agachaditos (street lunch vendors) the longer the line the yummier the food. Bolivia is so underrated and it has everything any other South American country has to offer ;obviously its landlocked but the titikaka lake, the beautiful rivers and Uyuni salt flake more than make up for this. Also everything is so cheap!!!
Hopefully you guys go to Sucre and Tarija; my 2 favorites states (departamentos).

What you explained about salteñas is actually a myth. They were created in Potosí around 1776 but what it is not clear yet is why people started calling them salteñas (they are completely different from the empanadas from Salta). Personally, I have never had a vegetarian one, to me the beef stew are the best ones.
