Microsoft needs to license the Halo property to other developers so they can freshen up the series. We need more games like Halo ODST or Halo wars.

The triple A games of today with their insane development costs, are not sustainable. I see double A games as the future for many studios and I hope their publishers see it too

Me too, man. I’d rather have a smaller budget game with a precise vision instead of an empty, bloated open world :/

I agree. The only way to save Halo is for Microsoft to sell the franchise to a company who cares or to "give the keys" to the franchise to a company who cares.
Microsoft and 343industries view Halo as a cash cow. All they care about is profit and now they have a milkable IP where they are able to benefit not just from the video game market, but also the streaming market, toy market, etc.
343industries has outsourced to independent game developers in order to create their games. This leads to inconsistent (and lower) quality while saving them money. That's the only thing behind their motivation. Money.
Halo will never be "saved" under 343 industries. Why make a great video game when you can make a money-making machine? The developers and the people in charge do not care about their fans. They have never shown the respect the fans have ever deserved. The Halo 5 "The grown ups are talking" ad shows their mentality in a crystal clear spotlight.
The lack of content at launch and the amount of microtransactions available in the mainstream Halo titles are more clear examples that 343 does not care about you at all. Halo Infinite had 6 years to be created. The amount of playlists and gamemodes was laughable at best. The same could be said about Halo 5. Yet they have stores with ludicrous prices and pay-to-win gamemodes (such as H5 Warzone) that completely take away a player's ability to work for or earn anything within the game.
The Master Chief Collection was released in a broken state in a desperate attempt to catch up to PS4 sales at the time (Xbox One had a huge marketing disaster with their game sharing controversy and the controversy about them focusing more on becoming a media console than a gaming console, with the spotlight around TV apps and other applications.) For over three years the game remained mostly unplayable and they only decided to fix it to save face when they were about to announce the release of a new title. Absolutely disgusting.
Games from 10+ years ago have launched with much more content, more cusomtization, better stories, etc. than the games that are recently being released. They have the formula to success (in terms of making a great game) but would rather dilute it in order to turn a profit. We have to remember that the people in charge of Halo are corporate entities who aren't gamers like you and me. It's sad to see so many franchises go down this route.
