we used to get 5 or 6 people together and start drinking, and one person would play CoD MW2 online while a different person would get the headset to talk trash. it was incredible talking trash while NOT playing because you could focus a lot more and just constantly talk shit. we'd pass around the headset to whoever talked the best trash until they got tired and passed it off, and whoever played the worst would get the controller to make it even funnier. talking trash while playing terrible would drive people completely insane. especially if you played an annoying build like commando pro or all explosives

Limmy would play cod for hours, and invite the same group of Scottish teenagers to party up cause they were on every night, all night.
Source: I would get home from school and he’d invite me and my friends to the party, then we’d just laugh along as he roasted folk, and it’s no exaggeration that “speak the language we taught you” was a home run every time.
They’d get annoyed and then just build and build the rage as me and my friend group of school aged, religiously online cod merchants would win every single game, then loudly talk shit.
I listened to his audiobook autobiography and it was quite difficult to listen to that time period of his life, knowing I was chatting to him most days and didn’t have a clue about any of it.
I’m 31 now and it feels like a lifetime ago, but to teenage me that was such a fun period. I’m glad he’s doing well.
