I stumbled across Still Game a few years ago and have to say it's one of the best shows ever , it's hilarious but heart-warming at times. It's so well written and the characters are believable , it really is comedy gold.

Still Game was filmed in small BBC Studios in my small town outside Glasgow.
It's that complex that everyone who watches it for the second time always noticed jokes they didn't pick up on the first time.

Still Game was filmed in my small hometown on the outskirts of Glasgow. The set of Naveed's shop had real sweets in it. When the show finished, the sweets from the shop were handed in to a local church lunch club for OAP's, that My dad went to. My dad brought some of the sweets home.

The opening scenes were filmed in South Nitshill. It's completely transformed now and is actually a wee bit posh. Everything else filmed in Maryhill. Opposite ends of Glasgow. Useless fact, Jack's 3 pc suite that got blown up still made it into his new flat! Great reaction matey.

You just showed up on my iPad on your CZcams channel and could not believe my eyes that you were showing the very first episode of still game. It just blew me away because I have not seen it in a very long time. It was great to see the first one again. You missed the boxing scene after the credits Eddy . SG in my opinion is the 3rd best British comedy of all time behind Only Fools & Horses and Love Thy Neighbour . I love watching SG reactions i live in the area where most of the filming was done , the flats where Jack & Victor live in the show is just a 10 minute walk from my flat . Did you know Jack & Victor have their own brand of whiskey wich you can buy in the co-op ?

When the series first aired it was only broadcast in Scotland for the first 3 seasons, so the titles/dialogue etc were more Scottish sounding, me mate used tape them, VHS lol (that's how long that was ago) for is and send is them. Then from season 4 BBC 2 picked it up and the titles/dialogue were more English sounding etc. There's one of the early stage shows from the 90s on CZcams just Jack Victor and Winston worth a watch if you've never seen it 👍

Fun fact- at 6.00 mins in, the waste ground beside Jack and Victor is where my house used to be. That’s St.Roberts church just behind them. All the old tenements have long been pulled down and it’s a large private housing estate. Still a shitehole though😀

Agreed re KB… stopped watching him except got the odd thing. I like Peezy but only watch him occasionally. Just depends on what they’re all watching/doing. I’m a huge Sopranos fan so I tend to follow where that goes except for some numpties. Also keep my eye open for Rising Damp… one of my favourite sitcoms. Love Thy Neighbour is a load of badly acted, badly written shite (just like SG “Hard Nuts” 😂) and I fear that this guy Cheeee might be thinking about that one.

Have you seen the two live shows that were filmed? The first is from '99 and predates the series and isn't easy to find, the second is from '14 and is really easy to find.

Hardnuts is great don't give eddie spoiler alerts I bet eddie loves hardnuts & he gets it,I've only come across the odd fan that dosnt like hardnuts.
