Never use shock collars! Just train your dog!
Literally unless they wanna try the shock collar first.., seriously tho shock collars are horrible and can have really bad side effects on the dog whether its physical like nerve damage or mental damage from stress, people just need to learn that a quick easy way out isn't always the best long term
I do think that some parts of shock collars are bad, but you generally shock your dog a couple times and then it learns where it shouldn't go so you don't have to shock it again
@@lawrencechristman3597 yes but now you're training your dog do something because he's afraid he's going to get shocked, whereas with positive reinforcement your training your dog to do something because they want to. It's not that shock collars are bad sometimes when a dog is violent they can be really helpful to correct the dog but they shouldn't be sold just to train your dogs a few tricks
Ah yes because putting shock collars on puppies is a great idea.
Maybe instead of hurting your dog to "train" them just use positive reinforcement.

That’s just because you don’t know the correct way of using it. I can’t blame a tool for people misusing it. I’d much rather be mad or help someone using something incorrectly or abusing their dog then be mad at the thing that are using. What a waste of time to be mad at an inanimate object.
