watching this again in 2020, gotta comment on the reaction to elder dragons being immune to traps. I like to neglect to tell my friends who are new at the game about this little detail and their reactions are LOVELY.

Who.... wait, you guys use traps for purposes other than capturing a monster? Since you can't capture elder dragons, I never bothered trying to use traps against them. Good to know that they're immune to them, though.

This really represents the feeling me and my friend felt when we tried using traps with nergigante and it didn't care, so we started panicking, then we later on learned that traps don't work on elder wyverns lmao

@@nooblet6564 i don't think it has an actual name but the short answer is : old sci-fi laser sound effect or something like that. Low budget laser sci-fi sound effect, you can also try early star trek laser charging sound. Get creative with your search terms in CZcams.
Longer Answer and some Context (you don't have to read this unless it interests you)
I don't think it has a real name. It's such a cheesy old school sci-fi sound. It can be made in synthesizers pretty good too. You can try searching : Old sci-fi laser sound or use random sci-fi terms and sound like : Photon Laser Charging uo sound.
you can also probably find it if you search old sci-fi shows or movie sound effects or free sound libraries or sound packs that focus on old sci-fi sound effects. I remember reading about a compilation or library of sounds that were used in really early sci-fi stuff. Possibly pre-star warslow budget sci-fi or from the 1970s
You can also try : low budget sci-fi laser charging sound effect or something like that. It's definitely classic sci-fi sound. Sounds like something you'd even hear in an old cartoon like the stereotypical Alien Flying Saucer sound lol. Star wars revolutionized sound design. the company that worked on those movies, i forget the name, may also have sounds that aren't related to star wars. early star trek sound effects is also another good place to try. Wrote a lot in case you wanted to search thoroughly
If you're talking about the smack I've heard it in old 90s cartoons. Its possibly existed even earlier.
