The scene in which Holt told Amy he separated with Kevin is so good, I cried. Andre did such a good job portraying one of the best characters in TV shows history.

I don't think any line in the show was delivered better than "It's been a tough year to be a Black man... and a police captain... and a human." That line broke me, and he completely nailed Holt's tenuous, failing effort to remain his stoic self in the face of overwhelming grief.

The best part about the kiss is that we were so used to having them shake hands as the only type of public affection that no one expected that. You can't tell me I'm wrong. The handshake made sense to their characters and the relationship. I full on expected them to shake hands in the rain. I was SHOCKED. And I love everyone in B99 for it.

When I saw them kiss, I was so happy for them! It was so intense and lovely.

I think with the relationship he has with Jake, Jake has definitely learned that Holt’s business is his own and whilst he sometimes does need help, Jake is learning to let Holt deal with things in his own way, it’s a telling sign of growth for both of their characters imo.

Holt's break up reveal made me feel devastated and shocked for the first time ever watching a show/movie, I genuinely gasped out loud, that's how good the scene was
That last scene was legit beautiful. When I heard Kevin yell "Raymond" I was like "No way man".
I love how the whole Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a family and Captain Holt and Kevin are like their dads everybody comes together to try and help save their marriage it's actually really sweet
The best detail from the show is that all the Pantone colors that Holt uses to describe the bird colors are actual colors that Pantone sells. You could decorate a house using a color scheme from a bird!

Andre is such a great actor. I have cried during his lows and highs, and he has such a great comedic timing. He is one of my favorite characters ever.

No show in my opinion, especially a sitcom, has ever managed to portray the issues of systematic racism in the force as so perfectly with such heart. Holt talking to Amy about it being a tough year is heartbreaking, the episode where Terry was arrested just because he was a black man was powerful and frankly a tour de force performance from Crews.
Amy and holt are one of my favorite combos in the show

This show is honestly one of the best on TV. It packs a mean punch in every aspect. Andre Braugher is truly an amazing actor. What an emotional rollercoaster of emotion this show was.

For as disgusting as Scully and Hitchcock are, I always loved how accepting and good-hearted they are, too. I think that's how we're able to see past all of the glaring health and hygiene related issues they come packaged with😂😂

Holt is one of my favorite characters, Andre gives off Sass and robot at the same time and that is difficult to do.
When i first saw Holt i never liked him, thinking he was just black and white, but hes so much of a deeper character then he seems and i have become so attached to him.

I cried in that first scene where Holt tells Amy that he and Kevin separated. I’m so glad they came out stronger in the end.

i'm watching this while struggling through a breakup because i love pain apparently and hearing holt talk about being in survival mode and neglecting his personal life is just hitting too hard, even if the circumstances are different
9:40 not gonna lie, i cried when i first saw this.
The Kevin-Holt breakup plot felt forced they had too good of marriage for even a really rough year to break it up
I actually thought the same the first time I watched it, but Holt's been portrayed as prioritizing his work over Kevin a number of time, like when he canceled on Kevin last minute to interrogate the dentist
Also considering how it was during 2020 where some of the worst things have happened to black people and LGBTQ+ due to police violence. It makes sense Raymond would have a difficult time trying to process how his job community would do something so terrible to his own personal community. Probably brought down his mental health a lot and affected his marriage. And considering how later in this season Holt discusses about how much he cared about being successful and staying ahead of conflicts, he pushed the people he loved out of his life

@@shahsadsaadu5817 that doesn't mean he should be prepared to deal with something similar a second time , also I feel it's likely that he felt the need to pick a side during 2020 and basically every option conflicted with the other. that mental and emotional strain could break anyone.
