Pouring a cup of water on the mat is not the same as walking on it with wet feet and dripping onto it.

@@susanstadler3147 It is a bout saturation and the dispersion of the water. Using a cup like that saturates the area more then it would stepping out of a shower so the test isn't a 1/1 comparison. If someone is drizzling like those pours then they should probably be turning the shower off before they exit it.

@@user-og8xv1ih4p It is a fair point. I don't have children. I suspect they would just pour water onto it to see how it works.

I used to work at a high end Linen and bath store called Scandia. The reason your bath mats get a lot of lint is because they are probably not the best quality. My sheets, towels and bath mats have lasted 15 years and still going strong. No lint. The European linens are made very well. Mine are from Habidecor. I also just was visiting a friend who had the diatomaceous rug and it worked great but it was the more expensive brand. I guess you get what you pay for is true.

This product works well for its intended use, that is absorbing a few tablespoons of water uniformly spread over its surface as you step out of your shower or bathtub. if you stretch its limits pouring a lot of water on a single spot, of course it's going to perform poorly.

Don't know how I ended up looking this video or why, but there are some tips from another brand (moonstone). If it's bent then place upside down for a while to regain the flat shape. Now for the chipped part you have to remember that it's like compressed sandstone so it's not durable for hits and bangs

can you elaborate? mine only mentioned sanding occasionally as a refresher, although the 9yr M i live with flat refuses to drip off for a moment before hopping out so i probably need to increase the frequency of that one detail. i think mine warped and then i accidently broke a corner off, surprisingly easily when i tossed it and it bumped a thing so, bummer me. i'm not like this guy above and think it's cardboard, i think this guy doesn't actually know what he's talking about. the very nature of the base material makes it obvious that it is compressed material, anyway, i can find zero info on it repairing it beyond the sanding. sorry to jabber, one too many redbull vodkas earlier tonight. contemplating creating my first video ever on warp repair and gluing the corner together, or giving up and taking a saw and sander to the corners. stay tuned for that video before christmas
