  • I am very passionate of creating awareness of Quantity Surveying to a new generation. I feel that an influx of new Quantity Surveyors would create a lot of fresh new ideas for the industry as construction procedures and principles are changing all the time.

    QS as Technical Auditor. A million jobs a year as US $ 12 Trillion worth of Govt.constructions are globally mandated to be audited.This will also help to savage the present loss(after a financial audit)of US $ 4 Trillions per year.

    Can foreign QS degree graduators get a job in Canada?

    • @ciqs
      @ciqs  Před 3 lety +2

      A license is not required to work in Canada as a Quantity Surveyor, however having a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) designation would assist you with developing your professional career in Canada. Our PQS members are held to the highest professional standards. Having a PQS behind your name would attest to your competence and commitment to keeping up to date with the latest industry practices. Visit CIQS.org for more information.

    Quantity Surveyors should concentrate on Technical Auditing. At least auditing of around US $ 12 Trillion Government funded constructions as Check & Balance for Govt. expenditure. It is done by Financial Accountants only for more than 100 years. The loss in these audited constructions reached US $ 4 Trillion per year in 2008,according to Transparency Internationals.
    This is an affront to the profession, as Quantity Surveyors are expected to give value for money.
