Joaquin Phoenix is so humble you can tell he really doesn't like fame, true actor just following his passion. So refreshing !

It is not necessarily a quality to not like fame.
He's not really humble, he never watches the movies he plays in because he thinks that he acts like shit and that's why he wasn't expecting to win the prize. You could see that as humility but I think it's more of a bad judgement and a self-hate :/

Only 4 people have achieved this particular feat so far (Juliette Binoche, Jack Lemmon, Julianne Moore, and Sean Penn), and all of them won Oscars as well. Joaquin already won Venice Film Festival Best Actor for THE MASTER (sharing the award with Philip Seymour Hoffman) and now Cannes for YOU WERE NEVER REALLY HERE. He only needs Berlin to finish that trifecta.
