    •Parabens- A preservative to keep bacterial and/or mold growth
    •Toluene- Keeps the paint from separating, give the nails a smooth finish, and preserves the pigment
    •Camphor-Creates that glossy sheen
    •Xylene-Keeps your nail polish from getting gloppy or thick
    •Formaldehyde-Used as an antimicrobial, preservative (increases storage life), and nail hardener
    •Formaldehyde Resin-Adds flexibility and improves adhesion to the nail plate
    •Phthalates (Dibutyl Phthalate)- Prevents the paint from breaking/cracking or becoming brittle and solvent for dyes
    •Short term can cause weakness, fainting, nausea, headache, dizziness, irritation
    •Long term can cause respiratory, kidney, liver, GI toxicity, endocrine disruptor, endocrine disorders, carcinogen, convulsions, heart rhythm disorders, chemical burns, developmental defects in pregnant women when inhaled during pregnancy, affects central nervous system (brain and nerves)
