  • Since the AEM UEGO wideband units seem to log incorrectly in ECMLink you've got to log LinearWB and set it up yourself. This video specifically shows how its done on a Speed Density setup however, it's the same idea when doing it on a MAF setup.

    I struggled with this tremendously, and this video you made set me straight. Thank you so much!

    Does this still apply if the car is locked in open loop? Previous owner replaced front o2 with UEGO and I feel like the gauge is off with what Link is showing.

      @97awdgst  Před 3 lety

      ECMLink can simulate the narrowband front o2 sensor even when it's replaced with the WB, search ECMLink wiki on setting this up. It still applies even if you run your car locked in OL because you need your gauge to log accurately if you depend on tuning AFR's based on your logs.

    Great job, Corey. I'll have to do this to my Talon after it's running again.

    Hey i have a 1g and my wideband is connected to the baro, its reading way off in some places but fine in others. How should i go about fixing this?

  • @97awdgst
    @97awdgst  Před 12 lety +1

    Assuming you mean translator? Sure. Just raise and lower the MAFHz sliders that are being used during idle, typically a GM MAF idles around 500Hz so that would be the slider you adjust to make it idle rich after locking it in OL.
    Why do you have a MAF translator if you're running ECMLink?

  • @97awdgst
    @97awdgst  Před 12 lety +1

    That's not what this correct's. If you're trying to get AFREst to match your wideband then that's a tuning issue, specifically in your SD VE table.

    do you have to hook up the afr wiring to the rear, i just installed my innovate wideband on its own power, my car still uses factory upper/downstream o2 sensors. can i still tune the car that way??

    • @97awdgst
      @97awdgst  Před 7 lety

      yenyen33089 it will work fine but you can't log it in ECMLink unless you use a sensor input.

      Corey Jenson im new to link and well kinda lost to tuning..my set up is
      new
      rods and piston (wiseco) 2nd oversize
      2600cc bosch injectors
      gt3788r bb garretr turbo
      3in all the way back with electric cut out
      272 intake/exhaust with aem cam gears
      ferrea intake/exhaust valves
      320lph pump with inline aeromotive external pump
      car fires up and runs, no check engine
      idle afr is 11. .just dont know where to start with speed density..
      sorry for long reply 😉

    Great video. But, now you can't log anything above 14.7 or below 11.0? Or would you use the other displayed value for that? Or I suppose just looking at the gauge?

  • @97awdgst
    @97awdgst  Před 12 lety

    Does the car do it when it's cold? That's just the FIAV allowing more air in to warm-up the car faster...

  • @EssentialE13
    @EssentialE13 Před 7 lety

    Why do you want the car to idle at 11afr? I followed your directions and got my car idling at 14.7 shows that ratio on link and the gauge

    • @97awdgst
      @97awdgst  Před 7 lety

      IAN LUPINI because you don't tune your WOT AFRs to 14.7, it doesn't matter if the gauge reads/logs accurately at idle if it's inaccurate when it matters most... at WOT and under full boost.

    • @EssentialE13
      @EssentialE13 Před 7 lety

      Alright well I'm having to richen the 5.5-1000 cell to 80.0 just to idle at 13. Do I need to go higher or have I messed something up?

    • @97awdgst
      @97awdgst  Před 7 lety

      ...the cells go to 100+. It's only temporary to get the voltage reading of the gauge when it's displaying 11:1. Once you get that voltage then you reset your idle cells to get it to idle at 14.7:1 and reactivate closed loop control.

  • @Dert666

    Good vid Corey, one question, my WB gauge doesn't match the WB reading on link, how do I make it match?

  • @bkbombers
    @bkbombers Před 12 lety

    That also doesn't address the AFROest wasn't matching to the wideband.

  • @MindBlowin03
    @MindBlowin03 Před 6 lety

    Will this still accurately log below 11.0 and above 14.7?

    • @97awdgst
      @97awdgst  Před 6 lety

      MindBlowin03 Depends on what you consider accurate, but it should log within .1 to .5 outside of 11 and 14.7 range that you're scaling it to. Thats the point though, you NEED it to log accurately for WOT tuning not when the cars leaned out on decel.

    • @MindBlowin03
      @MindBlowin03 Před 6 lety

      Corey Jenson I agree. I just wanted to make sure if I'm a little rich at WOT it's going to read correctly. Honestly, as long as it's accurate near 11.0 I'll be happy.

    • @97awdgst
      @97awdgst  Před 6 lety +1

      MindBlowin03 I made the video for a friend running 91 so if you're tuning E85 you can scale it for a leaner AFR too. Or, if you're running 91 and want it conservative scale it from 14.7 to 10.5. Its whatever fits your build!

    • @97awdgst

      +MrNeuro Funk It's in the AEM UEGO manual that comes with the gauge, here's a .pdf version of one though if you lost it. Page 7.
