    Ferrus Manus' hands were covered with necrodermis but not only his skin was covered but his whole body was infected with it as it said his eyes turned to metalic-silver colored. So this necrodermis could restore the missing parts and he may become a human necron hybrid. So if one of his body parts which contained some necrodermis was recovered that could rebuild his whole body.
    The question is how to restore his memories.

    • @farkasabel
      @farkasabel Před 6 lety +68

      "Necrodermis is a material of unknown origin and chemical or molecular structure that possesses the extraordinary ability to regenerate almost all damage instantaneously, "flowing" back together as if it were a liquid while closing bullet holes, mending gashes and tears, or even reattaching severed pieces with little delay. The material is also adaptive in some unknown fashion and can learn to repair itself given enough time from nearly any form of damage, even a blast powerful enough to reduce it to its constituent molecules or atoms. In addition to the bodies of the C'tan and the Necrons themselves, all Necron vehicles and starships are made from Necrodermis."

    Surviving decapitation in the 40k universe is possible, Fulgrim decapitated Eidolon and then ordered Fabius to reattach the head and bring him back. Though Ferrus' body has been in pieces for much longer.
    If Ferrus was to return I think it would involve Cawl and necrodermis. Ferrus' "body" would be like that of a C'tan, but inside would be Ferrus like some kind of Imperial daemon engine made from Necron tech. The Imperium has shown an interest in Necron technology (sort of) with black stone, who knows what else they might learn?

    Greetings Lord Inquisitor Remleiz, did you read the The Board is Set (Short Story) by Gav Thorpe? Where Malcador, communing with the Emperor, plays out a last war-game with primarchs-cards (something like 40k chess/regicide with cards - a hard strategy game).
    When Emperor saw the "broken" card of Ferus He says that, maybe, He'll "repair" the Ferrus:
    Frustrated, Sigillite grabbed Perfection and made a move, shifting it towards the Iron General. The second figure fell backwards, the head, crowned with sunlight, rolled over the board.
    "Rough," said the Revelation. He took two pieces of the figure and put them back in a small wooden box next to the board. *"Maybe I'll fix it later when I have time."*
    It's awesome!) Especially the *END*

    Great review of the published material, Remleiz. When Guilliman almost died after fighting Fulgrim, he briefly saw the warp and then a golden light as the emperor, I guess, came to transport his soul to whatever part of the warp he controls. So my theory is that Ferrrus's soul resides with the big E.
    As for Bile and his clones, my theory is that they are perfect physical clones but lack the warp influence that made the originals so powerful. The Horus clone, for example, was easily thrashed by Abbadon, who is only an astartes. No way one of the original primarchs would be defeated by a single astartes from his legion, that would be ridiculous. And Fulgrim had to really struggle to kill the original Ferrus but he destroys Fabius' clone versions with almost no effort.

      Can somebody honestly just DIE!?! If that moron comes back them the betrayal at Isstvan wasn't really all that bad.
      The loyalists would have lost no primarchs permanently. Sure, they would have lost some resources and large numbers of replaceable legionaries, but the treason was uncovered.
      This is the worst storyline proposal since "Days of Our Lives" was still on the daytime soaps circut.

      PRODAt3
      Yes, but that would be contingent upon the stuff that followed after Isstvan. It makes the treason a tip-toe instead of a dagger in the back. Besides, if you can bring back the completely physically destroyed and obviously annihilated through entirely obscure means, that ruins Warhammer 40k entirely.
      Whereas you cannot entirely destroy evil, individual good-guy characters NEED to be able to sacrifice in order to be good-guys. If they are just going to come back as mecha-revenants or Emperor-daemons, then there is no point to the drama.
      Story world over.

    • @kingbaldwiniv5409
      @kingbaldwiniv5409 Před 6 lety +1

      Jausch120
      It is pretty well a necessity that the Emperor permanently, completely, and entirely eliminated Horus from existence. Sanguinius' death was not quite the same, because, metaphysically, Horus was annihilated by the Emperor, Horus was not greater than the Emperor, Horus killed Sanguinius, Horus could not annihilate Sanguinius per se.
      So technically, Sanguinius is more likely to return than Horus, but they are both far left of the "No Way", "Cannot Happen" line.
      You might be right about Konrad and Ferrus, but it would only be a terrible novel decision by GW to stab the significance of their character development and writing to this point in the back.
      Again, if Konrad is handed over to some kind of soap-opera resurrection, it betrays his intentional sacrifice and lacks any explanation of the cutting apart and picking over of Konrad and his stuff by his depraved sons (which Konrad despised btw).
      I think that some people's reading comprehension skills are a bit thin.

    I'm glad you mentioned that the vision in Master of Mankind could easily have been merely the form The Emperor's psychic attack took. Many people are quick to take things like that at face value. I'd heard that that scene was supposedly the first appearance of the Legion of the Damned, but when I finally read it, I found the connection far too ephemeral. People forget that psychic projections often reflect the mental state of the user, and the vision of fallen Astartes could easily be a reflection of The Emperor's rage/grief over Horus' betrayal (though after the insights of MoM and The Emperor's later revelations to Guilliman, I'm loath to attribute any of his reactions to grief).
    Still, would be cool if the vision was the later inspiration for the form of the Legion.

    Ferrus and Fulgrim share is a love of the forge, an obsession for perfection and originally they were both very loyal. Fulgrim quoted "i will serve the emperor with all my heart" and Ferrus and his legion were known for being "unforgiving loyal" even before Ferrus returned in fact that was the case. Fulgrim sought perfection to emulate his father....and Ferrus believed that perfection through bionics would make the legion better...therefor making them better in the eyes of the Imperium and Emperor.

      竜昌 maybe but you would probably need a body strong enough to contain his soul and the Emperor's intervention. As nobody seems to be able to locate the dead Primarchs souls except himself.

    • @akiramasashi9317
      @akiramasashi9317 Před 6 lety +1

      Well that's what the clone bodies are for right? The only reason the Horus clone failed was because the Emperor completely obliterated his soul.

    • @zenoblues7787
      @zenoblues7787 Před 6 lety

      竜昌 yes but it seems that most attempts to clone Primarchs fail completely. It has been heavily implied that the Primarchs can't be cloned perfectly, because they are created using both warpcraft and enhanced genetics. Even the Ferrus clone seemed to be confused and lacked some of his memories.

    • @samdurfee6093
      @samdurfee6093 Před 6 lety

      Bringing back souls from the warp is not the same as true Resurrection if you were to grab a soul even the soul of a Primarch it would only be a shattered hollow of the being it once was. Also weak souls like this are prime for possession.

    • @akiramasashi9317
      @akiramasashi9317 Před 6 lety

      Zeno Blues I had not fully considered that. Certainly his body might be remade perfectly via cloning and careful gene-forging like Belisarius Cawl has done on the Primaris Marines, and his soul might even be put into that body by the emps or a cabal of powerful Psykers and Ynnead fuckery,, but it would still not be the same Ferrus.

This is purely against ideology of Orihume (11th Primarch). As Orihume belives, that ressurecting is disrespect to those who died. Orihume stated that in these desprate times, he is willing to break his own code to save others. He wants to ressurect Konrad and Ferrus. Ferrus because of respect and authority for others, and Konrad to strike fear to hearts of Inquisition.

    if human souls after death are whisked away into the warp its possible that those with strong will would retain their sentience personality and cognitive set-ups. Would this make possible that Ferrus is somewhere in the immaterium waiting for a time and place to return?
    Is it possible that after his death his essence was over and over drawn back into the clones Fabulous Bill made only to be sent back with each denial of joining Chaos?

      Well the theory goes that the Dragon he fought that stained his arms metallic when it died was a C'tan shard of teh Dragon and the stain was actually the C'tan trying to posses him the only reason it did not was the Gorgon's imminence force of will and that on a subconscious level Ferrus and the shard warred for control of his body and that when he was decapitated the C'tan shard no longer had anything preventing it from taking over.
      This also explains why Fabius Bile was unable to locate the body in the aftermath. It had literally gotten up and wandered of, seeking to return to the greatest shard of the Dragon, the one of Mars.

    Will Ferrus Manus ever return? Perhaps, and as his spirit lives on all he is lacking is a temporal body that can withstand the force of it’s real space manifestation. For example, Ferrus could enter a titan as a holy machine spirit, a noble mirror of the dread daemon engines of chaos... a mighty avatar of destruction indeed.
    Perhaps a body more akin to his original dimensions might be more useful overall and Ferrus could return into a unique psycho-sarcophagus in the form of a dreadnought. We await, Games Workshop!

    If I'm remembering correctly when Ferrus Manus was beheaded by Fulgrim there was a noticeable flash of light that emanated from his body. Given that the Primarchs are somewhat similar in concept to a Daemon Prince that light could have very well been the spirit stuff/warp energy returning to the Warp to likely reside with whatever bit of immaterium thg Emperor seems to reside in at least partially. Ferrus could in theory return given a proper vessel and some meta-physical goading of some sort.
